Ironically I'm told that the Dallas police chief had taken proactive measures in improving relations between police officers and citizens and he had gotten rid of over 70 police officers who were not following procedure
From what I'm reading, Dallas PD has been a respected police department because of their proactive measures. If all is true, I think he is a great police chief. I loved how he pushed to unify the nation in his talks to the media. Mitspa is correct, we need more men like him.

He likely has done a good job such as recognizing the right of all citizens whether black or white to openly carry guns as per the law.

The problem here, however, was that of someone who went maniacal after military service. We saw plenty of that during the Vietnam war and we have seen plenty of that in recent years thanks to Bush's two wars.

Violence begets violence. We will see less violence on the streets the moment the government ends its continued violence both at home and abroad.
