Haunting Map Shows All Nuclear Bombs That Exploded Since 1945

The visualization features 2,153 nuclear detonations that have taken place.

A poignant new visualization shows all 2,153 atomic bomb detonations that happened across the globe since testing began in 1945, mapping out the where and when.

During HuffPost Live's Nerds Forum segment (above) on Tuesday, a panel of science enthusiasts examined the map's many explosions and discussed the world's nuclear weapon history. Check out the map -- which is color-coded as red for atmospheric explosion, yellow for underground, and blue for underwater -- in its entirety below.

Video Review:

It didn't have much of a plot, and the acting was lackluster.

A handy holiday planner for those who want glowing memories of their trip abroad. Also another good excuse for being late back to work.....I came down with a touch of radiation sickness.......

It's strange with all the global warming hype that all those nukes being exploded is not mentioned as a root cause. But hey, what's a little carbon emissions when you've got a radio active world. :)

I'd like to ask these HuffPo clowns when the U.S. Army came into possession of the U.S. nuclear arsenal.

The answer is "never," which leads me to believe that, despite the video's accuracy, the sheer stupidity behind it is unquestionable.
