Hate? No. Am I angry at him for being a terrible person? Yes.

As I said, as far as I know he's only said that generals have told him. If he presents evidence to back up his statements, then he has a point.
Why do you care who the president deems qualified for federal military service?

Because unless there's a good reason for a person not to be allowed to serve, I believe it's a person's right to fight for one's country. I've yet to hear anything beyond a habitual liar's word that transsexuals are unfit for service.

There is absolutely no right to a position in the United States armed forces. None whatsoever. Regardless of how you feel or think. Facts do not care about your feelings. They want to fight for their country, they are more than welcome to take up arms, join, or form any military formation they wish. The United States does not have a monopoly on the military in this nation. It's called a militia and the United States armed forces is just one component of the militia. Trump only commands title 10 components of the armed forces, and no one has a right to join.

Transgenders need to continue to take hormones and testoterone blockers. All of these have side effects including dizziness and headaches from testosterone blockers, and they can cause heart failure because they increase the amount of potassium in the body. There's also mood swings, weight gain, anxiety, migraines and hot flashes from hormone therapy. These KNOWN conditions cannot be allowed on the battlefield!

My best friend from awhile back was discharged from the army because his asthma had become problematic. Its not a matter of prejudice! People see the name Trump and automatically assume its racism or prejudice without looking into the facts! What ever happened to people thinking for themselves? Trump haters are all like sheep! They will attack the president at the slightest rumor just because they are hungry to attack him!

On top of this, I bet you could not provide any evidence of Trump lying, other than how you feel.

You mean like the fact that the Pentagon was surprised by his ruling? Which generals did he meet with? Why didn't he consult the Pentagon?

See! That is important information that needs to be taken into consideration! That is evidence that should be studied! Had Trump cited that instead of merely mentioning consultations that may or may not have happened, people may not be against the ban!

Those also cost a ton of money you and I shouldn't be expected to subsidize.

This is a great point.

If he had chosen to do this legislatively, it wouldn't have been seen as political football...or as much as it's going to be. The House would have bounced it back and forth and put it to a vote. A Bill would have been drafted and facts would have come out.

Though, at least according to the article, the problem was that this issue was log-jamming the spending Bill.

The swamp shall always be a swap.

I sure was happy when I served two tours in Vietnam that we did not have any cousin its running around us! If you watched the adams family this is what we called them. Can cousin its or real woman serve in the military? SURE!! But never on the battlefield!

No one in Washington can afford to have a cousin it or real woman come home in a body bag! The media would have a field day! And most sane people would also be outraged! So I agree in part with President Trump on this,I sure do not think we should have to pay for any sex changes in the Military!

The Military has enough problems already to straighten out! The readiness of the Military is built upon those in battle having the same mindset! And there is no question in my mind that a real woman or a cousin it would hurt moral, and effectiveness of bringing VICTORY to our Troops!

it seems to me that the solution isn't "ban every able-bodied man who wants to take viagra from serving in the military in any capacity"

it's "
stop paying for unnecessary treatment with tax dollars"

That's how it's worked up there for the better part of a century, unhappily.

i don't know if this is true, but what is insinuated here sure fits the POTUS's modus operandi and would certainly explain where this sudden policy declaration came from.

I think Trump's defining characteristic isn't that he is a liar or political maneuverer. I just think he's more intentionally transparent about being a liar and a political maneuverer.

People used to fall for Clinton-esque Machiavellian smiles and pretentions toward purity, but they've been fooled so many times that it just doesn't work like it used to.

Trump ran as the politician with the hood down, displaying the ugliness we know exists in everybody else. A really crooked kind of transparency. He's the guy with the middling hand calling everybody else's bluff. And I think it's very intentional. Something only someone like him could really pull off.

To me, Obama represents Postmodernism's toll on policy. Trump its toll on politics.

If he is not concealing his actions, is he still a liar?

Not really. I'll break it down to the personal level.

Say you know two guys. Both drink heavily, cheat on their wife, drive like hellions, regularly shoplift, and lies.

One of them goes to church on Sunday and tries to look like an upstanding citizen.

The other just sins out in the open. He's just a self-actualized jerk. Honest about his dishonesty.

If you know both of these men as I described, chances are you'll prefer the second one because he doesn't lie about who he is.

If he is not concealing his actions, is he still a liar?

Lying is an act to conceal a fact. So if the second person is not concealing a fact, how are they a liar?
