These people have been extint for about 2000 years, but God is going to do a special work that required him to let us know about it. When he is going to let us know about something special he has to do so by revelation from his prohpets. So yes he has instituted prophets about two years ago. He hasn't used multiple prophets for two cennturies, but that has changed now. Some of the modern prophets that are all agreeing about what is going to happen shortly are: Robin Bullock, Kent Ckhristmas, Hank Kunneman, Amanda Grace, Timothy Dixon and a lady who's spirit God regularly takes to Heaven, Kat Kerr. God wants us to hear what they are saying, so I urge you to check them out.

Prophets have not been extinct. They have been ignored and rejected, which is often the mark of a true prophet. The role of a prophet is to receive revelation from God and pass it onto those who are called to teach. Teachers then should be making the revelation widely known.

The obvious response to this is that we have the Bible. Sure. But even the most cursory scan of this and other forums shows how little agreement there is among Christians. The most fundamental concept, salvation, is poorly understood by many, leading to debates such as OSAS or not. For example, I was blessed to be taught the truth about the salvation of the soul as a separate experience from the initial experience of being born again. The person who taught me this was a prophet.

No disrespect intended, but I'm highly sceptical of prophets. I check them out thoroughly. I compare their proclamations to God's word. One well known "prophet" stated that the Holy Spirit is Lord. He bases his statement on one, misinterpreted scripture. He ignores the rest of God's word.

We need to remember that the Holy Spirit is in effect, Jesus in a form that we can receive. John 16 tells us that the Holy Spirit takes what is of Christ and makes it known to us. The Holy Spirit guides us into truth. Lord Jesus is the Truth.

If the "spirit" is not revealing some aspect of Christ to us, then it's not the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit glorifies Jesus, not Himself.

I don't know the prophets mentioned. I've heard a lot about the "last days revival" that is supposed to be coming. I see no sign of a real revival. I do see signs of a counterfeit revival such as happened in the 1990's with the Toronto Blessing.

I sincerely hope that I'm wrong. Some of us (including me) have been seeking revival for decades. The church has to be restored to a place of reality and truth first.

I am tired of Christians getting on YouTube or other media outlets and proclaiming a prophetic message, only to see that it doesn't come to pass. I am not sure there are many with this gift today (I know one young woman who genuinely seems to hear God, but she's the only one I'd say is even close).

What does the Bible say about prophets who get it wrong? Deuteronomy 18 gives us some direction:

19 I will personally deal with anyone who will not listen to the messages the prophet proclaims on my behalf. 20 But any prophet who falsely claims to speak in my name or who speaks in the name of another god must die.’

21 “But you may wonder, ‘How will we know whether or not a prophecy is from the Lord?’ 22 If the prophet speaks in the Lord’s name but his prediction does not happen or come true, you will know that the Lord did not give that message. That prophet has spoken without my authority and need not be feared.

I used to think that dinosaurs died out 65 million years ago. I used to think that man evolved from a slime in the sea. Crazy, eh?
Then I got involved with the internet. After several years of watching everything I could on dinosaurs, tornadoes, nuclear explosions, the military, and yes, U.F.O.s, I have a theory.
That Genesis 6 speaks of fallen watcher angels, who have the ability to change from spiritual angels into physical humans, who could function as such

Who ever heard of a spiritual being becoming a physical being? Right? Or what?
Prophets have always existed, according to scripture.
Though I suppose the Lord could restore prophets on the level of O.T. prophets, if He wanted to.

You have to be kidding. I'll try to say this with as much compassion as possible: This is a list of who's who of the biggest false prophets around today.

Numbers don't make truth. Virtually every false prophet out there said Trump would be elected to a second term but we all know how that turned out. They didn't say: He will lose but it will be because of fraud. Technically he'll still serve a second term even though he won't reside at the White House. No, they didn't say any of this.

I'd urge you to stop listening to people like this and pick up your Bible and read it. There are wonderful eternal truths there, not the latest fads.

It seems to me that if one seeks a word of direction from someone other than the Lord, that this might be a form of idolatry. Which could set one up for deception. So I think that I should endeavor to hear from the Lord.
If, in the process of seeking to hear from the Lord, He chooses to speak to me through another, who am I to say otherwise? But since so many have said so much that hasn't happened, at this point I think that it would be foolish to pay heed to these prophets.
I've waded through a lot of this sort of stuff. I've conclude that God moves, people exploit, God stops moving, but the packing and profiteering continues. Most conclude that it was counterfeit to begin with. What else is one to think?

The Bible refers to the Holy Spirit as Lord. Lord just means master, someone with authority, or power… someone like God for example. The Holy Spirit is God.

2 Corinthians 3:17,18
17Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. 18But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

I sometimes call Holy Spirit Lord. He is God, right? Besides, I just wouldn't feel right calling Him Fred.

Never heard of any of them. Where is their Bible basis for this?

They are all associated with one another that is why they back up what each other say making it look like they have all received the same word. There is a strange video of Kat Kerr giving a mantle of annointing to Hank K and placing this weird shawl thing around him like some sort of ritual. None of their prophecies have come to pass yet they claim all sorts of strange things and have a huge following. I think in one of Kat Kerrs videos she says she talks to Elvis Presley sometimes and has seen a whole lot of dead celebreties in heaven and hell.

I avoid Christian celebrity. For that matter, any celebrity. Jesus deserves to be lifted up.

Scrolling through her website.............
not even 1 scripture (I think I checked every main link)
I guess I am upset because my brother is very new to christianity and unfortunately came across her on you tube and not knowing any better started to believe some of the things she prophesised. When he realised she was a false prophet it made him so cautious that it can be hard to get through to him at times.

What I've noticed about a lot of these so-called prophets is they will make a high-profile prophecy, for example. After it has circulated for awhile someone will come along and do something to make the prophecy come to pass. A self-fulfilling prophecy in other words.
