I don't know how many have read the letter from Focus on the Family about what America would look like after the first four years of Obama's presidency, but it was a a hilarious collection of fears and now falsehoods.
Here is a scorecard of all 34 predictions Focus on the Family made. You could be generous in saying they scored a .5 out of 34. But perhaps people will stop looking at them as anything worthwhile now.

A documented case of false prophecy: Four years later, ‘Letter from 2012′ makes Focus on the Family look ridiculous

That link has the report and a link to FoF's original letter.

More than anything it should disqualify them from ever making any predictions again. False prophets were stoned to death in the OT times. Of course they weren't much worse than Pat Robertson's predictions which are also and nearly uniformly in error also.

I don't see how a prediction is a prophesy. Where did they say, "Thus says the Lord?"

Wrong predictions maybe, I haven't read them. (skimmed the article)

I'm sure those posting in this thread have made wrong predictions.

OK then they have a horrible record making predictions essentially that breaks down their whole reputation since they are in the business of generating logical analysis of situations and if they cannot make quality logical predictions then their ability to analyze is way off scale.

I still don't see how they are ''proven'' to be fear mongers.

They clearly made highly impropbable predictions in order to scare impressionable people who follow them into voting in a way they determined appropriate.

Fear mongering (or scaremongering or scare tactics) is the use of fear to influence the opinions and actions of others towards some specific end.

Oh wait...yeah that is exactly what they did.

Yes because they certainly didnt have any clear motivations for this at all...they must be totally naive and innocent in their beliefs....

They probably did believe what they said. They still were fearmongering! I mean, fascists and communists believe completely in their respective messages and they still use bullying and fear to get people to try and side with them. The difference is that they have little influence in modern day america. Focus on the Family does.

You're still judging their hearts without even knowing them. Bottom line.
