Yes that is correct, there are images and film of our Queen giving the Nazi salute, however it was in 1933 when she was 7 years old, however one of our gutter press, The Sun, has decided it is of national importance that it is shown. This is creating a huge media storm and twitter is in melt down apparently.

The backlash for the Sun, is going to be devastating, even supporters of the anti-monarchy movements are criticising this non-story, historical context is only that swastika, image of Hitler and the salute has become taboo after 1940, prior to that it was just a national gesture, everyone did it in Germany, including those taking part in the Olympics.

My American friends will also know that this salute began life as the Bellamy Salute which was used by all American kids in schools.

I hope the editor and people who decided to run this end up loosing their jobs.

"Ouch! Why did you hit me with that apparatus?" Questioned her royal husband.
"I hit you. Yes. Now go, go, go. Leave me. I've got to call Charles. He'll fix this ridiculous mess."

My suspicion is that this is just one of an ongoing attacks on anything that smacks of law, royalty and tradition by the whacko nihilists du jour.

If it's printed:it's the truth. Of course today, the paper will get a lot of mileage in social media, also. People seem to crave gossip and negative stuff about famous folks.

no sorry i missed this one, it was not on my morning news time or on yahoo news then i missed it. the sun says some trash in it. there often in trouble for making stuff up, and only pervert men buy it for the page 3...
