Ask yourself: could I have lived in the 3d Reich? Then ask yourself: could I live in a sharia governed country? Ofcourse Hitler was evil incarnate, but nazism might still be the better of two evils.
Dont know if you'd feel that way if you were Jewish? Either way evil is evil and needs to be stopped. We're making the same mistakes all over again.

Strange question with a complex answer- depends what kind of Jew you are.

From what I can ascertain through research, I have distant cousins who survived the Holocaust and even fought in the Wehrmacht. Some Jews found it quite easy to "blend in" partially because they where highly apostate Jews who either converted to Lutheranism or thought the whole "Jewish" thing was so similar to the "German" thing that it was six-to-one, half dozen the other.

So, if you are a culturally and religiously observant Jew, you would probably opt for the Muslim option. If you are not a particularly observant Jew who doesn't look stereotypically "Jewish," Nazi Germany probably would've been a friendlier place.

I, of course, opt for neither. All manifestations of totalitarianism are intolerable.

Germans are going crazy for this Hitler movie

THE newest comedy in Deutschland these days is a send-up of none other than Adolf Hitler — and Germans are loving it.

The film Er ist wieder da (Look Who’s Back in English), based on Timur Vermes’ homonymous novel, took the top spot at the German box office this weekend, grossing $4.1 million AUD and surpassing Pixar’s Inside Out — a film that’s about as far away from a Hitler comedy as possible.
In the satirical Look Who’s Back, Hitler wakes up in present-day Berlin with no memory of any events after 1945. Then, mistaken for a famous comedian, he’s given his very own TV show. Naturally...

well, i did not see this movie, but my son. He told me that this film shows how easy it is still today to manipulate people. but not only in germany. everywhere,! It may be that many watch this film, but Hitler is no option! But what we can see through the mass of refugees from Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan the rights become more attention. Churches are asked from goverment to help, but without telling them the gospel! This is really a prayer request!

One German makes a philosopher, two a public meeting, three a war. - Robert D. MacDonald

Not even close. Yes, one could have found a way to live amongst hedonistic Germans. However, the Nazi's were not some third world peasants using a false religion to torment local populations and to murder a handful of people they viewed as infidels. They were sophisticated killing machines. They developed efficient ways to murder in the same way Ford built cars. The war they started, cost 54 million people their lives. Muslim extremists have probably killed more fellow Muslims than Christians or Jews. No, the Nazi's set the standard of evil.

What a racist.

Here's one such a german philosopher, a theologian and pastor even. And there were many more like him who gave their life for peace.

“There is no way to peace along the way of safety. For peace must be dared. It is itself the great venture and can never be safe. Peace is the opposite of security. To demand guarantees is to want to protect oneself. Peace means giving oneself completely to God's commandment. Wanting no security, but in faith and obedience laying the destiny of the nations in the hand of almighty God. Not trying to direct it for selfish purposes. Battles are won not with weapons, but with God. They are won when the way leads to the cross.”

― Dietrich Bonhoeffer

... the Nazi's... were sophisticated killing machines...

First the knife, now the chainsaw. No worries, ISIS is learning fast, give it some time.

So what makes you more evil, when you kill others or your OWN kind?

True. 'Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.' (Matthew 4:4). Not that most 'refugees' care. Especially Germany's warm welcome has caused a tsunami of islamic 'refugees' who are not interested in the gospel at all, but in our riches and in imposing sharia law. Through its hospitality Germany might well cause another war in Europe.

Of course, you do have to remember Bonhoeffer was a double agent and was an active part of an assassination attempt on Hitler, which ultimately failed. Bonhoeffer was truly a man of God, who knew God expected him to fight evil with every available method!

"Silence in the face of evil is itself evil: God will not hold us guiltless. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act.”

Dietrich Bonhoeffer

So what makes you more evil, when you kill others or your OWN kind?

ISIS has murdered 8000 people in the last year. Boko Haram has murdered slightly more than that in the same time period. What was the death toll in Stalingrad? 250,000 per city block? 8000 murdered would be a slow day at Auschwitz. ISIS is in the headlines, so people are focusing on them. They have approx. 30,000 followers fighting for them. That number could be reduced to 1000 in a month, if Russia wants to crush them.

Stalin killed 20 million Russians. Mao killed 40 million Chinese. Pol Pot killed 20% of the people living in Cambodia. ISIS is nothing compared to Germany during WWII. How many pilots does ISIS have? How large is their air force? They scared off the cowardly Iraqi army and took Mosel. They have convinced a lot of angry young people with no futures, to strap explosives to themselves and commit suicide. It's not a strategy that will win a war. They will be crushed like bugs when far superior military forces decide to get serious.

The only reason these killers don't kill more people is because they don't have the weapons ...but I agree they are not as powerful as the Nazis or communist..but I have no doubt if they could slaughter or enslave every non-muslim in the world? They clearly would.

The operative words, "when far superior military forces decide to get serious".

In 1939 there were about 69 million germans in nazi germany. In 2010 there were 1.6 billion muslims in the world, that number is grower fast. Nazi germany needed time to build up its forces, since they only were allowed to have about 100000 soldiers and no navy at first. Like the muslim world now, they just needed time. Btw there are plenty of muslim countries, like Iran and Saudi Arabia, that have plenty of modern weaponry. All they need know is a leader to rally to. The invasion of the west has already began, now a tsunami of muslim 'refugees' descends on europe.

You make a good point. If some Islamic leader convinced millions of Muslims to join the Jihad, and he could supply them with WMD's, everything changes. After all, ISIS grew from a hundred members to 3000 members to 30,000 members in a little over a year. I could envision a scenario where Israel attacks Iran's nuclear facilities and it causes a massive surge in the numbers of Muslims who want to join the Jihad, and murder Jews and American infidels.

I'm not sure if Hitler would've appreciated Rossini's 'William Tell Overture' in the trailer but would have adored the small blip of Wagner's 'Ride of the Valkyries'
