First, I did watch the video.
There is a significant biased slant to this video. They list off some of the features of Sociopathy and try to claim that Sociopathy is a personality in the title and attribute this pseudo personality to a political figure they dislike. They also try to associate white supremist racist ideals with all his supporters and his personal beliefs. The video is too brief to share more than just the personal opinion of one person preaching to a choir of a few other journalists(?), all of which agree with every word which comes out of this individual's mouth. This is a red flag for me that suggests that this is a propaganda video. It is inappropriate for them to place this President's picture beside pictures of Hitler and Mussolini. President Trump has not been exterminating millions of people in concentration camps.
There are some politicians, CEOs and successful leaders and business people who are sociopaths who do not kill people. These individuals do not all belong to the same political party. Are these individuals the best choices to be promoted into positions of leadership and responsibility? probably not. Are they really good at getting promoted into those positions anyways? Absolutely.
From what is known about anti-social disorders, Sociopaths can mimic empathy towards others and Psychopaths can be especially dangerous because they can express genuine emotions but lack the ability to control those emotions. The only reason either of them has for getting to know someone else is to use them for their own purpose to accomplish their own goals, to get something from that person or because they believe that person can get something for them that they want. Psychopaths are Sociopaths but Sociopaths are not always Psychopaths. Psychopaths are born while Sociopaths can be made. It does not matter if a Sociopath says nice things in front of a crowd and smiles when they make a promise to you, ellie461; duplicity delivered with a smile should not be mistaken for sincerity. A sociopath probably will not keep a promise if it involves them giving something they perceive as being theirs to someone else but they will likely keep a promise that is a threat.
