When Christians don't take politics seriously, their country -- and therefore, their fellow citizens, suffer. Taking a politics seriously is not akin to substituting the Republican Party for Christ. It is being salt in light in all areas of society. How this escapes so many believers is simply stunning to me. But, it shows that we are naive and unwise.
You're making this a political issue. I only said why, as a Christian, would I seek retribution, especially by the hands of politicians. Even if I'm politically engaged and vote, that still doesn't mean I should be motivated by retribution. The Donald is simply up to his old tricks, telling people what they want to hear. And believe me, there are plenty of so-called Christians who are out for blood.

It's a very good point. We aren't to wrestle against flesh and blood and vengeance belongs to God.

I agree with both you and Gojira. We are not to be motivated by "retribution" and we are told clearly in the Bible that "vengeance is mine, saith the Lord". We are also not to bury our heads in the sand and ignore the situation.

One very big lie is that the church and Christians are not to get involved in politics. How exactly does that work? Is Roe v. Wade a political issue or a matter of faith? How about crime in the city? How about the Public school and groomers and pornography in the school? How about war and what is happening with WWIII? How about "global warming" and what is fast becoming a religion. The mere act of questioning the official narrative on that is considered blasphemy. If there really is "separation of church and state" why was the state able to shut down the churches over a few people catching a bad cold?

I think most Christians have lost their way. They need a lesson in the basics.

The Way of Love

1Co 13:1 If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.
1Co 13:2 And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.
1Co 13:3 If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing.
1Co 13:4 Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant
1Co 13:5 or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful;
1Co 13:6 it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth.
1Co 13:7 Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
1Co 13:8 Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away.
1Co 13:9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part,
1Co 13:10 but when the perfect comes, the partial will pass away.
1Co 13:11 When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I gave up childish ways.
1Co 13:12 For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known.
1Co 13:13 So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

When Trump says "retribution", I take that to mean -- and maybe I'm wrong -- that justice is going to be meted out. Period. It's not going to be some kind of personal vendetta, but giving people in power what they deserve, which is holding them to accountability and making them pay the appropriate price. This could be firing, arresting, whatever. But, this absolutely I expect a politician to do.

This was a prepared speech and I am sure they discussed that word. That is why I put the definition in the first post. It is clearly associated with punishment for criminal behavior.

Thank you. I get tired of people knocking this guy, especially Christians. Like it or not, he's the pagan warrior God picked out, at least in my opinion. He used Xerxes, Nebuchadnezzar, etc. And, I believe, Trump.

The Difference between Retribution and Revenge

The ultimate goal of Retribution is to punish the wrongdoer or offender and ensure that justice is served to the victim and public as a whole. Revenge, however, is a form of payback, to ensure that personal justice is served. Thus, the goal of Revenge is vengeance or getting even.

It isn't inconsistent to desire to live in a just society where lawbreakers are punished and to desire the punishment will be used of God to work repentance and good to come to the offenders. Ever hear of Chuck Colson?

. I want to see him in prison for inciting insurrection, bribery and obstruction of justice
And I want to see you defending freedom in Ukraine. We can't always get what we want. Jesus is Lord, not me or you.

Oh wait, if we get what you want then we will also get what I want!

Thanks to the GOP the videos are coming out now along with the utter lies that they told and stuck to knowing full well it was a lie. Dozens of lies!! Trump did not incite anything. It was not an "insurrection". No one but a Trump supporter died that day. No cop was murdered that day and they blasted well knew it!!! The videos showed the truth. The shaman actually said a prayer for the cops that day. They led him from room to room showing him different places. He had no weapon. They can be seen walking and talking together and cops trying doors to see which were locked. And there is more coming so the Dems better watch their behinds.

Obstruction of justice!! Like bailing rioters out of jail? Like burying a story on a drugged out, good for nothing son who has some secrets buried in Ukraine? They had that thing buried so deep God couldn't find it. Not to mention China, only God knows what the truth is there. Russia, Russia, Russia was an utter hoax. No one is more corrupt than the Dems. The house of cards is coming down. I believe God is the one doing it. I don't know about retribution, but I tell you one thing, I want a reckoning!!! Back in the early days of this country they would be hung for the lies they told and the damage they have done to the country. People need to wake up and sees the utter lies that they have been told, between this and the pandemic. That little troll Fauci is another one that should be under the jail !! smh Unreal.

Yes, seeing the video yesterday on Tucker was enough to make your blood boil the way they have lied to us for two years.

Anyone claiming that the January 6th was an insurrection needs to make sure they see the video from the Capital Hill that they hadn't shown you before. As of yesterday Dude can make this claim, but going forward it is time to stick their noses in it.

Personally I think we have had enough false flag events to not just swallow hook line and sinker what the main stream propaganda networks feed you. So I still feel unless you are twelve years old you are incredibly naive to have bought into this, but after last night it is no longer excusable.

Is this the "insurrection you are referring to as well as footage of the "leader" of that insurrection?

Insurrections usually involve weapons and destruction and death. You know, like the peaceful protests of Antifa/Burn-Loot-Murder. If Jan was an insurrection, then it was the lamest in history.

You want a 48-year-old man with arthritis too catch a plane to Uganda and fight? Yeah that's not unreasonable at all
But what I can do is donate to organizations that are helping the ukrainians

Donkeys and elephants can only use China as campaign paper to make speeches for votes every time.

Can China help America be great again ?

The root cause of the so-called problem of America, or of China as well, is that no one applies Christ's words as truth.

No more unreasonable than someone who thinks they are exempt from fighting wanting others to go to Ukraine and fight. Russia is sending everyone up to the age of 65. Doubt 48 will be a cutoff age.

If you want to donate to organizations, fine, become a cheerleader for some organization doing charitable work, but as long as you are a cheerleader for the US going to war in Ukraine I fully support you being the leader of the band.
