If I knew of certainty
It was grown from stem cells
I think I might have to pass
Unless we're using stem cells only from an animal
It makes me think that if I did eat it knowingly I'd be a cannibal

hub and I watched a video on the net that showed a company that creates
a chemical product that when finished looks like a big piece of cardboard -
after cooking and adding what ever 'flavor' they are recreating, it's grinded
or melted down and added/used in lots and lots of foods that people like
to eat....it really was gross - apparently it is legal and apparently they
have no guilt about this...

I think it's one of the few things which could persuade me to go vegetarian.

It would be interesting though to hear what vegetarians thinks, as dont they
eat fish?

Or you could just find locally born...raised..and butchered meat :D That works well.

You might want to check out your vegetables. More of them have laboratory origins than your meats.

When you follow the bloodline of most meats, you will find they have some laboratory ties. We have a lab farm here that produces breeding bulls for a lot of producers.

Of course it would be animal stem cells. You think they are going to grow baby meat to feed you with? Ridiculous.

Lab-grown or farm-grown as long as its delicious who cares. If lab grown was cheaper that would be even better.

Ha ha I like your outlook
But personally I don't trust the powers and principalities
Nope, I don't trust them worth a ship
Don't put it past them to do something like that
There's all ready all sorts of things in our food they slip
Ha ha but I like your perspective too
Ha ha if it tastes good, eat it

unless the labels 'don't have the WORD, 'natural-flavors', then this would
more than likely be the 'CARDBOARD-FLAVORING' that I was speaking about...
it's a chemical tapestry...

humans are 'carnivores', which is in reality, 'right next-door' to a form of cannibalism...

just sayin'

I'm going to throw this out to y'all to think about.
As of April 2017, we exceeded 7.5 billion people on this planet.
According to google, there is 7.68 billion acres of arable land on this planet.
When I looked for answers on how much land was needed to sustain a person, it ranged from 1 to 21 acres a person.

We have a problem. It will likely take lab grown meat and GMOs to keep these people alive.

The way I see it, we have two options:
Discover a habitable planet yesterday and build a faster than light spacecraft today, or start killing people off.

Here's a novel idea. Americans (and Europeans) can eat less food. That would be a great start.

Re the OP, there is no way I would eat that, even if I were not a vegan. Yuuch and double yuuch. Of course, more then enough people will do it.
Talk about mind numbing.

right before our eyes...'heart-break-hotel'...

I eat things like SPAM and Vienna Sausages, so eating mystery meat from a laboratory isn't too far a stretch for my culinary tastes.

Yahw,

you are such a hoot! oh yeah, those good ole days of not giving a damn!

TY Jesus, for opening some of our hearts and minds and for giving us
a 'sliver' of a care about ourselves - may we keep on learning!

Americans will eat anything so there is definitely a market for it.
