I was heading to sleep and saw this in my news feed.
So encouraging to see a law abiding citizen, and a good guy cop.

A law abiding citizen didn't have transportation, so he had to walk 29 miles in freezing cold weather to make a court appearance. A kind-hearted cop covered his $80 cab bill for his ride back home.

Wait. It takes me about 2.5 hours to power walk 5 miles. It would take me nearly 15 hours to walk 29 miles. Dang this guy has endurance!

It takes me about 2 hours just to road cycle 29 miles at an average speed of 16-20 mph.

The homeless man in this story is a registered s_ex offender. He was arrested in July of 2003 for internet child p_ornography. He isn't law abiding. He only walked 29 miles to court because he was afraid of violating his 15 year probation and going back to jail.
