Matthew 5:43-48

Love for Enemies

43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor[a] and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,45 that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. 46 If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? 47 And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that?48Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
True, but we are speaking of regimes. Would you have remained silent under Nazi Germany as Hitler subjugated and gassed millions? Pray for them, true but no reason they can't be exposed.

Instead of attacking North Korea and its citizens, view their positive aspects, just like how Christ focused on the sinner's good qualities, rather than on their sins.
Christ would have upheld the common people and rebuked the leaders for keeping the people in bondage.

I have a different culture and world view than you do. That doesn't make me a troll.
You are correct. That you have a different culture and worldview than I does not make you a troll.

The fact you troll makes you a troll.

If you seriously can't understand that there are differences between correcting the faults of others versus bullying others, then perhaps you are the ones who are trolling.

Hey kiddo !!! Stop already !!!! The people here knw what they are doing. I can't see bullying or some sort. We/they are pretty aware what kind of government runs in Nkorea that needs to be corrected. As believers we are against of that system. For me, you are very young to know what's right from wrong, so if I were you, just listen and respect to the elders. Plz Don't be an embarrassment to our country.....ok God bless.

I wanted to wait until after Christmas to share this video with you all as it is a bit somber. This comment had reminded me of it. A little note here, it is obvious this video was made during Kim Jong-Il era, so we must keep in mind the situation is a bit different now.

Over the past 5-6 years I have researched North Korea as much as can probably be researched in the West (at least for a peasant such as myself). I don't fault you for your sentiment, for years a go I would have said the same thing and worse. This video here really changed my outlook on many things. The video explains some of the tribulations and persecutions in North Korea.

However, the main reason I wanted to share this is near the end (at about 16:40-17:12) where one of the persecuted Christians mentions that they even pray for Kim Jong-Il hoping that all might come to know Jesus. It is much like what Jesus' says in Matthew 5:43-48 which kenneth posted.

You know why Rome stopped killing Christians? Because even as they killed them they had so much joy and peace in Gods Spirit that others wanted what they had... The more they killed the more the faith spread... They would have a public show of burning them and the Holy Spirit would be so strong that folks would come out of the crowds to join them... We as believers cannot have a form of godliness and not put our trust in Gods power... Even in death we must have victory...Now I did not hear one word about the power of God and the joy and peace of being in Gods Spirit, even as these folks suffer. We should pray for these folks and that government to fall and be replaced by a government that agrees with God and His ways. The idea that God is somehow not with His people and giving them victory in all things is not the true faith. I don't think this film represents God as it should?
