The Palestinian Center for Development and Media Freedoms (MADA) held a meeting in Gaza city yesterday (26 January) to present its special report and short documentary film on the Israeli violations against journalists and media outlets during the latest attack on the Gaza Strip in summer 2014. The journalists who participated in the meeting stressed on the need to hold the Israeli leaders accountable for their crimes against journalists and media outlets in Palestine, especially in the Gaza Strip.

Israel always does what is best for her people...on occasion they make a mistake or two...but the land is theirs and anyone who stands against them stands against the Lord God Almighty...

Drett with another "Israel is evil" hit and run post.

Something coming out of the Palestinian Authority is not exactly going to be impartial or neutral is it.

A good part of the film is an account by Hatem Mousa who was severly injured in an explosion, is this Israels fault? Of course it is, when it really was the incompetence of the Gazan police and secuirty who failed to cordon off an area properly while dealing with a Unexploded bomb.

They were hardly Journalists "Under FIre".
Simone Camilli, AP video journalist, killed in Gaza explosion | WJLA.com

An Associated Press video journalist and a freelance Palestinian translator working with him were killed Wednesday when ordnance left over from Israeli-Hamas fighting exploded as they were reporting on the aftermath of the war in the Gaza Strip.

Simone Camilli and Ali Shehda Abu Afash died when an unexploded missile believed to have been dropped in an Israeli airstrike blew up as Gazan police engineers were working to neutralize it in the northern Gaza town of Beit Lahiya.

Police said three police engineers were also killed. Four people, including AP photographer Hatem Moussa, were badly injured.

Moussa told a colleague that they were filming the scene when an initial explosion went off. He said he was hit by shrapnel and began to run away when there was a second explosion. The blast knocked him unconscious and he woke up in a hospital. Moussa was later placed into surgery.
