[h=3]GOP Sen. Roy Blunt faces tough post-Trump reality: no seat is safe[/h]

BRIDGETON, Mo. — It was a simple question, and Sen. Roy Blunt had a simple answer. No, the Missouri Republican told the handful of reporters gathered at an endorsement event in this St. Louis suburb, he would not attend the upcoming Republican National Convention. The question of why proved more difficult. “You know, I haven’t gone to the convention for more than a day or two in a long time,” Blunt said, adding that his primary election is two weeks later. It was a interesting article, but being the Washington Post, it seemed to me to be a combination advertisement for Kander, and a commercial beating the drums of hope for a ousting of republicans in the senate and house, while at the same time talking about Blunt's election concerns and the sorry state of the republican party.
It also said at one point that the republicans were concerned because Blunt raised slightly less funds then Kander at a event, and that the republican party was concerned he may not be ready with funds in the general election, then later in the article it says Blunt has double the money that Kander does.
Anyway, I really don't take much from this article. To me its just business as usual for the Washing Post. They readily admitted that there have been elections where there were no coat tails or adverse effects.'
This election year is so different (in fact I think we are going to look back on it and say it was the beginning of the end for the way the old politics were conducted) that I don't have any conclusions about much of anything. Trump could very well win this, uphill battle it is, and republicans could hold their seats, or maybe even gain a few.
