Noah's Ark Overview

Same dimensions, same type of wood, same area.

And the ark rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat. Genesis 8:4

This is the ark, of course. Check the gopher wood, it's concrete with metal in it. The ark was magnetically shielded, which gives us more details about the flood, that match the non-Biblical accounts as well. Get the story "Enmerkar and the Lords of Arratu". This ancient Sumerian story (2800BC) is foundational to their culture, like George Washington and the cherry tree is to American culture. Arratu is Egyptian for Arrarat. The "Lords" are stripping the ark (this ark is minus the top storey) for the Jipar wood (same word, different language JPR=GPhR) and Enmerkar wants some so he can use it make primoridal lightning effects in his temple. The weapons used in the proposed contest for the wood match the technology in the temple of Denderah. The whole thing is quite a tromp in ancient technology.

Interesting.
According to the pre-earthquake picture It was in perfect symmetry.
One wonders about praying for an earthquake.
I mean, couldn't it have been excavated?

Wasn't this guy, Ron Wyatt, found to be involved with all kinds of fictitious stories and evidence?

I believe in the ark... I'm just not sure I believe in Ron Wyatt.

If you guys have more info about Mr. Wyatt, please post it.

The interesting thing is that the timbers that make up the sides of the ship are vertical.
Whereas every other man made wooden ship has the siding arranged horizontally.
Leave it to God to be different.

David Fasold is the discoverer. Wyatt, as he often does, is making some very borderline claims as to just what his contributions were. Fasold was tied up in Australian court for five years charged with trying to get money by lying, as "the Bible is a lie, so there is no ark". Fasold died just after the court refused to hear the case, thinking he was wrong about it being the ark, having been talked out of it by one of his own "expert witnesses". The bibliography of my book lists it as "The Ark of Noah. David Fasold. Wynwood, 1998" David Fasold - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Kenisyes,

Thanks for posting some info on Wyatt and Fasold.
I'll take a look into that when I have some time.
If you think of something else, please go ahead and post it.

Although wikipedia is often a good "starting place, to get ideas about what to read and research...
it just can't ever be considered reliable without going directly to first hand sources.

However, regardless of my lack of appreciation for wikipedia, I do appreciate you, and everything you do around here. I think everyone probably feels the same way. Thanks.

Thanks, I'm glad I have something worthwhile to conrtibute. I brought you to Wikipedia for the overview and the bibliography. I figured you could choose your own direction from there.

Fasold has two important discoveries not mentioned by Wyatt, and his book contains important data on how the ark sailed. First, he discovered a plant that could be the legendary "long life plant" mentioned in the Sumerian text, amomum, I think it is called. Next, he mentions that gopher wood, is concrete impregnated with metal. I mentioned this connection in line with the story of Enmerkar and the Lords of Arratu.

i wish these things were taught to children in our weekly church school programs. our kids would be so much better equipped to answer the world's questions and their own if we were giving them a better education at church
