This is one of those subjects that I tend to get on my soapbox and say what is on my mind. But as of right this minute I am trying to stay calm and not get myself wound up.
But for now I will say, I do agree that Gods hand of judgement has been on this nation for some time now. He sent a wake up call on 9/11 and many more since then. And there will be plenty more to come. This nation has turned it's back on God and over the years He has been slowly removing His blessings from this nation.
I am against Obama and everything he stands for, but it is not just him, it is the entire government as a whole that has led this nation down the wrong path, and sadly we have allowed it to happen. They were all placed in office for "the people" by the people, we are basically the governments bosses and we pay their pay checks. If we are not happy with what is going on, then we should have the right to fire anyone of them and be replaced with someone new.
It is not we the people anymore, it is them ruling and becoming a dictatorship. You may think we have freedoms, and yes compared to other countries we are, but we are not as free as we once were. Those in office have put a strangled hold on all of us. Those that are against God and the Christian beliefs get heard and catered to in the government when it comes to laws and rules and guidelines, but the Christian gets told to shut up and sit down. All of our rights get slowly stripped away.
The government and those that hate Christ have taken God out of so many things and are still trying to take "In God We Trust" off our money and out of the pledge of allegiance. They have already taken the Ten Commandments out of schools, stopped a moment of silent prayer in schools and have tried to keep people from putting up Nativity scenes at Christmas. They have tried taking Christ out of Christmas and so many other things. The non believer gets catered to while the rest of us get our rights and freedoms taken away. If that is not a corrupt government I don't know what is.
But the hope in all of this is this...God is in control and according to Revelations, everything is falling into place just as God said it would. And Christ's return will be soon be coming.
Sorry I got carried away...politics and I don't mix one single bit. There was so much more I wanted to say, but thought it best if I don't get too carried away.
But yes I agree, this nation to me is nothing to be proud of anymore, it is nothing as it once was. It is definitely evil and if one cannot see it, just step outside your own front door and look around or take a look at the headline news. This nation has become nothing but a bully, trying to tell others how to live and do things (when we cannot even fix ourselves), thinks it's better than other nations, we are full of hate, greed, racism and ignorance.
Again, my apologies for getting carried away. This is one of those passionate subjects that I feel very strongly about and no matter what some might say, I will never stand down or back away from saying what is in my heart and what I have seen happening over the years to this once wonderful nation.
