Placebo Politics:
Isn’t it amazing that “we the people” do not hold our Politicians to the same legal standards as we do our Professional folks?
Now, I realize that the main reason Politicians aren’t liable for violating many of the laws that private citizens would be prosecuted for, is because they “exempted” themselves from being liable for their actions under the very legislation they enacted which holds “we the people” liable.Yet, “we the people” have the power (vote) to change this dysfunctional system of Government, and election cycle after election cycle, we fail to do so.
Our Nation is terminally ill, and in need of immediate treatment, yet our Politicians only offer us “placebo” cures.Both parties are guilty of this malpractice, and both parties are guilty of infecting our Nation with the deadly disease we suffer from.And, yet, we continue to consume their “placebo” cures every election cycle, and dream of a day when our Nation will once again be well.
Someone once said that the definition of insanity (paraphrased) was doing the very same thing over and over again, and achieving the very same results each time, yet hoping that the next time will be different.It surely seems to me that “we the people” may well be guilty of “insanely” promoting the “placebo politics” that has led us to the very brink of then end of our Democratic Republic.
Folks all agree things need to change, but not this time, no, ,let us wait until the next time, this time we need to vote for the “placebo candidate” we most favor.So the question always remains “when will it be time?”When will “we the people” finally decide that our Nation has suffered long enough and actually take a stand to change the “placebo politics” that is killing our Nation?
If “we the people” held our “placebo politicians” accountable for their actions, just as they hold us accountable for our actions, how many of these “placebo politicians” do you suppose would end up a guest of our Penal System?
Oh, I know, folks will agree that things must change, but they will always say “not this time……”Doesn’t matter which side of the political spectrum they are on, it will always be “not this time………..”At the birth of our Nation, they were there.Opposing the Revolution, promoting the status quo, and willing to sacrifice their very convictions for political ideology.Willing to surrender freedom for normality, and never taking a stand and saying “THIS TIME, this is the time, no more will we accept “placebo cures” for the disease that is destroying our Nation.”“We the people” have surrendered our Constitutional power in exchange for political ideology.Our Forefathers said “a Government of the people, by the people, for the people……..”How many of “we the people” actually believe that our current system mirrors the intent of our Founding Fathers?When will it be “the time?”
