I never claimed to be anything other than who I am. By the way, the cross of Peter is used by the Protestant Churches too.

I never said you did, you are what you are.

Funny how you refer to him as just "Peter," unlike your avatar.
You forgot the "claves" too by the way, are they also used by christians?

He should have pointed them to Christ instead.

"I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.
The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God,
who loved me and gave himself for me."

[Galatians 2:20]
yes,you have a point there :)

The keys? Yes, they are also used by Protestants and I do recognize Peter as St. Peter, itsjust on a tablet easier to just say a name.

They're not using the papal insignia, I'm pretty sure of that.
You may "recognize" him as saint, but that's still WRONG.

You do realize that St. Peter s Cross is only part of the Papal insignia. Also, believe what you like, but know that no one here has claimed you to be a false Christian.

He is a middle aged man trying to relate to the youth the only way he knows how. They are into taking photos so he indulges into it. Seems to bring the youth some joy. Making himself accessable and not distant on some veranda doing long distant blessings. Whether it is a better way to go I think I will stay neutral.

If that technology was available 2000 years ago would Jesus be doing the same thing with the youth ? Would the pharisees be standing back and shaking their heads ? I don't know and I would never pretend to know.

You're out of line David_1
I think the consistent hateful moronic Pope & Catholic bashing by the Op and others here is out of line.

It's ignorant, hateful and Anti-Christian.

And I find you calling constructive critiscism of the RCC
"moronic pope and catholic bashing" offensive...

Ignorant? No, as an ex-catholic I know what I'm talking about.
Hateful? No, I don't hate catholics as persons, just their false teachings.
Anti-christian? No, how can that be? Catholics aren't christian to begin with.

That cross isn't a part of the coat of arms of the papacy. The "keys" therein ARE the papal insignia. The socalled upside down "St. Peter's Cross" isn't a christian symbol, but a satanic one: how fitting that it's one of the main symbols of the papacy.

Peter being crucified upside down isn't even in the Bible,
the upside down cross is just a satanic mockery of Christ's true cross.

[2 Corinthians 4:4]

Hello Mr.Mulder. It's nice to see you again.

When David said that attacking Catholics is 'Anti-Christian', he probably means 'Un-Christlike'. Christ never comdemned anyone to Hell, unlike many of us here, haha.

...that or 'unchristian-like,' but with David you can never know for sure. ;)
And please, don't make me go into what you said next...

I never said I wasn't a sinner, nor am I into stone throwing. But there's nothing wrong with discussing things, is there? As the nursery rhyme goes: "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words can never hurt me." Thank you for prayer to have patience. God Bless. :)

You claim to be an ex-Catholic, I pray some day you will return. However, you do speak hatred, denying your brothers and sisters in faith. How else is it going to be interpreted? By the way, I doubt you do know what you're talking about. You only know the Catholic church in as far as you learned. There are bad teachers and regional beliefs on how to catechize people. I, however, am not a cradle Catholic, but a new convert. I studied the history, got my BA based on that history, and came to believe that the Catholic church taught full truth. I never deny my protestant brothers and sisters are saved, nor call their love of Christ into question. You, on the other hand, do that to us.

Trying to convert christians to catholicism now? Well, it gets better and better.
Catholics are as much my "brothers and sisters IN FAITH" as muslims are.

"For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother."

[Matthew 12:50]

That doesn't mean I hate muslims and catholics as INDIVIDUALS, just their false teachings and institutions. I even have some catholic a few muslim friends. So if you doubt my sincerity here that's your problem, not mine.

... and another thing: if you knew my life's story you wouldn't pray for my return to the RCC.
It seems to me you need prayers a lot more than me man. You're in mine, as strange as that may sound to you..

That doesn't sound strange, it sounds Christian.

I guess now I know where that story of Peter's death came from.

As usual, twin meanings: one public, one private & secret.
