You are completely missing the point. How do you know that this is God's law. Then straight away you go to the Might is Right fallacie. Also there are a few other fallacies which I could point out. So if you are wanting to talk logical arguments bring it on. Also please define Faith

Where was the might is right fallacy?

Are you sore that God has the right to do as He pleases, while you do not?

Re: Radio News Show: "If you can't teach My truth in My love and kindness, then don'

So is that not the Might is Right fallacy. Still you haven't shown that these laws are his laws. Or that anyone should uphold these laws or know the will and mind of God. You say that he is the ultimate judge and has this right. Do you believe that you should take your unruly child to the elders and then have them stoned to death. Greatfull today we try to find out what and why the child is unruly. Plus there are many other discrepancies and old mosaic laws that we break every day. Like eating shell fish. Why did he make them?? Working on the Sabbath. Do we say to the sick " Sorry your on your own today ".

You are confused if you think Christians are under the Old Covenant laws, for Jesus instituted a new and better covenant with His blood. Are you also unaware that Jesus healed on the Sabbath?

Did you not just agree in a previous post that Jesus said in Mathew that not a jot or tittle of the old law shall be broken. What new laws did he pass under the new covenant?? Other than believe in me and you shall enter my father's house.

Thank you! Listen to and conservative radio program and you will hear plenty of them.

This was not a rebuttal; this was not any kind of answer... that was an AVOIDANCE.

You immediately avoided all my question because you can't answer them.

You can unleash a barrage of questions on everyone else,

but you can't answer the questions put to YOU.

Your courage and forthrightness is underwhelming.

What was the question?? I shall answer it to the best of my ability. I only ask questions for clarification so that we can hold an open conversation.

Maxwel, sorry I don't have the answers you like. Klapphe is a good example of what I see end here out in the main stream media, folds that that really have much to learn about the Bible and what it says, when that happens many have this hell fire and brimstone approach to live. Something that Jesus has delivered us from if you get his message.

Embankment,

I was tired, and in a rush, and actually mistook your posts for someone else... someone who's been a bit of a trouble maker.

Sorry about that.

We're still going to disagree on some things, but I'm not out to get you.

Feel free to message me any time.

Re: Radio News Show: "If you can't teach My truth in My love and kindness, then don'

What do you mean by hell fire and brimstone approach to life?? Also what main stream media?? I only seek the truth! By what means do we reach this?? I only point out the short falls of your arguments. If God truly loved us, why would he subject his son to torture and death when he could just have forgiven humanity and been the mentor of our existence. Would you build a torture chamber to torture your children because they didn't love you.

Klapphe, I am not trying to offend or pick on you but you seem to be engaging with me ant I am glad.

Do you read the Bible like it's made of cake batter? Any place you dip your spoon you get the same message?

The Bible is more like an Oreo cookie. It has layers written for different people at different times.

God did forgive humanity once and for all as long as you accept his son. God is not about punishment & we are not his enforcers. Jesus says to love God and love you neighbors. That is where God wants us to live. There are countless groups empowered by the new administration who forget Jesus love and live in the OT idea of condemnation, punishment, insult, shame. We don't live under the old testament, it is replaced. I am sorry if this does not make sense.

Re: Radio News Show: "If you can't teach My truth in My love and kindness, then don'

I heard this the other day on a Christian radio show. I didn't catch the lady's name, but, I'm going to try to track it down by calling the radio station. She said that years ago, her/their ministry was going to publish in nearly 100 newspapers, and she felt the Lord was encouraging her and preparing her/their ministry to teach the Gospel with His kindness:

"If you can't teach My truth in My love and kindness, then don't." Because it can do more harm than good.

If they meant preach the truth in love,I'd agree. If they mean, like many PC Christians today do,that you cannot offend, you cannot tell people they are wrong, you cannot mention sin and you accept them and their sin, then no.They are 100% wrong.

Phil 1:15 Some indeed preach Christ even of envy and strife; and some also of good will:
16 The one preach Christ of contention, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds:
17 But the other of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the gospel.
18 What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice.
19 For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,

For the cause of Christ

Re: Radio News Show: "If you can't teach My truth in My love and kindness, then don'

So a woman who is a montanist tells us what Jesus told her in quotations. Wow, let's just add that to our Bibles, whole new book and everything.

Hey everyone, we have a new verse to add to our Bibles.

Oh, just a reminder when these pop up with their definition of what "mean" is:

Oh, my brethren! bold-hearted men are always called mean-spirited by cowards. - Charles Spurgeon

Mean: (mean) m-e-a-n; as in, "What did you mean?"

Mean = Purposefully saying or doing something to hurt someone once (or maybe twice). The main distinction between “rude” and “mean” behavior has to do with intention; while rudeness is often unintentional, mean behavior very much aims to hurt or depreciate someone. (Huffington Post, Nov. 26, 2012).

I think there's another definition: Saying something while not knowing it will offend someone because of a culture or language, or even hearing something wrong, or misinterpreting it. Or not saying or doing something knowingly or not, that causes someone to despair, even of life.
One word or action offered or withheld, can save someone or passing them by can cause their death.

I was quoting the lady on the radio show--
I'm still trying to find her name...

I don't allow liberal rags to indoctrinate me on how easily offended liberals, leftists and the politically correct are, and how I should succumb to their whims as to not offend. In other words I don't care what huff post says.

I also don't allow truth compromisers, especially those truth compromisers who misuse the Bible, or don't use it enough to tell me what is harsh and what is not, especially in light of the many who have died for defending truth, died for standing upon the truth, died for not compromising and were called ugly and mean by others.

Those who don't know the Bible, who rarely quote the Bible, use it out of context, compromise truth by apologizing for it and for those who don't need to repent of their apostate mindset and let those who stand unashamedly on truth do so. We have too many cowards these days who think truth is ugly and compromise is peace and love.

They're politically correct, not necessarily Christian. And yes, people confuse and conflate the two, one is not the other.

This makes me more sick than watching that unnamed president we had go around and apologize to countries for our country. He was and is a political coward.

We don't need "Christian" cowards apologizing for truth, and we don't need some woman on the radio telling us what mean means to her and then applying it to others she doesn't like.

Certainly Paul, Christ, the other apostles, and prophets would have come under her indictment as well.

2 Timothy 4:2.

Don't mean to be offensive, (to "Preacher4Truth) but, I do mean to point out that I think this is why the Lord said,
"The meek shall inherit the earth."
(Paraphrase of Matthew 5:5)

And since I live in Alaska:
"In the end, only kindness matters..."
(From a song by "Jewel," an Alaskan singer)

From the website: www.theologyofwork.com

"The third beatitude puzzles many people in the workplace, in part because they don’t understand what it means to be meek. Many assume the term means weak, tame, or deficient in courage. But the biblical understanding of meekness is power under control. In the Old Testament, Moses was described as the meekest man on earth (Numbers 12:3, KJV). Jesus described himself as “meek and lowly” (Matt. 11:28-29, KJV), which was consistent with his vigorous action in cleansing the temple (Matt. 21:12-13)."
