Israel is braced for Russian aerial intrusions over its Golan border

So it is still not clear to Israel what is supposed to happen if Russian fighters and bombers enter the Syrian-Israeli border district and slip over into Israeli air space.
Since it's not Israeli land, the Israelis won't do anything. A week ago 4 Israeli f-15s approached Latakia from the sea and 6 SU-30s intercepted them and chased them off. Before they used to do whatever they wanted over Syrian airspace.

Anyone read Ezekiel 39 lately?
Yes I started a thread on the Young Peoples Forum, (By Mistake), called Ezekiel, Gog and Magog.
I am not convinced that this has anything to do with Ezekiel because it all happens after the Millennium in Revelation 20

No, sorry ... I disagree. The events of Ezekiel 37-39 are all Pre-Tribulational, dealing as they do with the rebirth of Israel as a nation recognized among nations (Ez. 37), the influence of Russia (the old Soviet state) over the Mideast -- as I said in another thread, they "created" the Palestinian people and the cause of a Palestinian state so as to drive a wedge among the western allies (Ez. 38) -- and the eventual attack of "Gog and Magog" which are unequivocally identified as nations of the north, which would include Russia's still-current client state of Syria and Russia itself (Ez. 39).

Ezekiel 39, NASB
1 "And you, son of man, prophesy against Gog and say, 'Thus says the Lord GOD, "Behold, I am against you, O Gog, prince of Rosh, Meshech and Tubal;
2 and I will turn you around, drive you on, take you up from the remotest parts of the north and bring you against the mountains of Israel.
3 "I will strike your bow from your left hand and dash down your arrows from your right hand.
4 "You will fall on the mountains of Israel, you and all your troops and the peoples who are with you; I will give you as food to every kind of predatory bird and beast of the field.
5 "You will fall on the open field; for it is I who have spoken," declares the Lord GOD.
6 "And I will send fire upon Magog and those who inhabit the coastlands in safety; and they will know that I am the LORD.

See in verse six that "those who inhabit the coastlands in safety" will also be punished by God. Who lives in the coastlands of the ancient Holy Land, the land that God rightfully gave to Israel? Note also, in vv. 9-11, the "people in the cities of Israel" will go out and collect the ruin of the war machines and light fires "for seven months."

You can't burn today's war machines, other than burning the jet fuel, and perhaps convert weapons-grade fissionable materials to use in nuclear power plants. I believe that is exactly what Israel will do, after Russia's war machine is brought down on the Golan Heights.

I think we may know the answer one way or another very soon. But if the Ezekiel passages are pre- tribulational and God destroys Gogs armies how come they are at it again at the end of the Millennium, Do they all get resurrected for the occasion?

Not sure we can see Russia's army at Armageddon. We see "the armies of the world," but the emphasis is on the armies of the East -- India, China, perhaps Japan?

And when the thousand years are expired, Satan will be loosed out of his prison, and shall go out to deceive the nations which
are in the four corners of the earth, GOG and MAGOG, to gather them together in battle, The number of whom is as the sand of the sea. And they went up on the breadth of the earth and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city and fire came down from heaven and devoured them. And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are and shall be tormented day and night forever and ever.

REV 20 vs 7 - 10 KJV

Every dispensationalist book I have read identifies Gog with Russia. They also insist that the judgements in the passages in
Ezekiel happen before the Tribulation. I cant recall one book that mentions these verses in Revelation that clearly show the same Gog attacking Jerusalem at the end of the Millennium I suggest that the reason this passage is ignored is because it contradicts the Dispensationalist interpretation of the events taking place in Ezekiel.

Apart from this passage Israel is supposed to live in safely without walls when this happens. Nothing could be further from the truth today but it would be during the millennium.

Or, perhaps after the attack in Ezekiel 39, up to the point antichrist makes a treaty with Israel that allows them to use their new temple. Which makes sense, as right now, PETA and other organizations would got berserk if there was an active Jewish temple in Jerusalem.

Yes and we also need to look to see if Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya join in with them !!!
Yes, this is my hesitation to say that the current situation is definitely 38/39...but I highly doubt Russia is going to leave anytime soon and the 38/39 scenario very well may develop in the near future.

Day after Russia launches 26 cruise missiles from the Caspian Sea, US pulled its only aircraft carrier out of the Persian Gulf. Carriers are going to be sitting ducks in the next war. Without them, the US won't be as able to project its military power around the world. Russia sending cruise missiles from the Caspian Sea is like the US sending them from the Gulf of Mexico, but even more protected.

Libya is completely out of the picture. Their military has been virtually destroyed and the country is overrun with jihadists who are mortal enemies of Russia.

This was in response to this event being that of Ezekiel 39, and if the case then Libya would have to be with Russia as Ezekiel 38 clearly states.
