"No injuries or damages were reported.

The IDF launched searches of the area to find rockets' landing sites."

why can't we see the rockets' landing sites?
why can't we see the rockets or debris, please?

instead we get this "file" photo.

with this odd headline:

Gaza terrorists launch rockets [file] Photo: IDF Spokesmans Office

the gaza terrorists pose for the camera just right and then what....send the photo to the IDF Spokesman's Office?

I'm sure if some Americans lobbed rockets into Canada, but didn't hurt or damage anything, the Canadians would be all like...."Eh no harm no foul. Let em lob."

the various palestinian groups often take out their internal frustrations on israel... this time apparently the missiles were launched by jihad islami after their hamas rivals killed one of their missile commanders in a gunfight...

lol.
not likely.

but i can tell you the press would be all over it for days.

that was my point.
where's the beef.

particularly since everybody else's lives revolves around these inexplicably internally frustrated palestinians who apparently just want to crucify jews (so i hear).

The rocket fire followed a rise in tensions in Gaza after a militant died in a shoot-out with Palestinian police.

The Islamic Jihad faction says Raed Qassim Jundeyeih, a commander of its military wing, was killed on Saturday by police from Gaza's governing Hamas movement, while Hamas says Jundeyeih was killed by a bullet fired from his own weapon.

Islamic Jihad are believed to have been behind Sunday night's rocket attack on Israel, which came after a period of relative calm.

You mean their issue may be more than some internal thing?
It could be because their land was transferred to another nation, then that nation came in and imposed apartheid like measures? :O

Kinda makes sense if one thinks reasonably.

People don't tend to act out at this level for no apparent reason.

At this point folks may be wondering which side I'm on.

Let's just say I understand both sides and why they be doin what they be doin.

in this particular case...hamas had brokered a ceasefire with israel...and having been thrashed by the israeli military two or three times already...hamas would very much like to keep the ceasefire in place for the time being...

jihad islami on the other hand is not a fan of the ceasefire...they have been firing rockets sporadically as a way of challenging hamas' authority in the gaza strip...

the other day hamas tried to arrest jihad islami's missile commander to put a stop to this situation...he was killed in the gunfight that followed...

jihad islami's retaliation was to again flaunt their rejection of hamas authority by firing six rockets into israel...

the current increase in rivalry and posturing by hamas and jihad islami is also related to the fact that iran and the assad regime have recently cut off support for hamas after hamas fighters were found to be fighting with the syrian rebels...meanwhile iran's support for jihad islami has been steadily increasing over the past few years...

Rocket attack from Gaza is Islamic Jihad's way of settling score with Hamas

Exactly seven months have passed since Operation Pillar of Defense concluded, and the border with Gaza has been the quietest it has been in 13 years - even quieter than the period directly after Operation Cast Lead in 2009.

"At this point in time, it seems that Sunday night's rocket fire into southern Israel was the result of an internal conflict that broke out between Hamas and Islamic Jihad, the second-largest organization in the Gaza Strip. In turn, Israel's response has been relatively restrained, and for all intents and purposes it seems that the ceasefire that was attained following Operation Pillar of Defense last November will continue to hold up.

That operation, criticized by some as being too lenient on Hamas, has proven quite effective after all. Exactly seven months have passed since Operation Pillar of Defense concluded, and the border with Gaza has been the quietest it has been in 13 years – even quieter than the period directly after Operation Cast Lead in 2009, in which Israel displayed a much higher degree of force"

OH...WE HAVE CALM AND QUIET BECAUSE WE JUST DESTROYED THE PLACE.
we broke the ceasefire...then burned them alive.

Fact sheet: Operation Cast Lead

BACKGROUND

Six months before Cast Lead, Israel negotiated a ceasefire with Hamas and other Palestinian armed groups in Gaza. Under the agreement, which went into effect on June 19, 2008, both sides agreed to stop hostilities across the Green Line, the de facto border between Israel and the Gaza Strip.

Despite a number of violations by both sides, the truce was largely successful.

Hamas negotiators claim that Israel agreed to end its closure of Gaza's border crossings as part of the ceasefire agreement, however Israeli officials dispute this. While Israel did resume operations at one border crossing, the overall policy of closure did not change. Two months after the truce began, the UN reported that the number of goods allowed into Gaza actually decreased.

Nevertheless, overall, a situation of relative quiet prevailed in and around Gaza until November 4, when Israeli soldiers staged a raid into the Strip, killing six members of Hamas. The attack, which took place on the eve of the US presidential elections, ended the ceasefire and led to an escalation of hostilities culminating in Cast Lead the following month.

IMEU: Fact sheet: Operation Cast Lead

ya.

during one of the most barbarous crimes against humanity ever witnessed by the world (WHO DID ZERO), Israel invaded Gaza and for 22 days straight days bulldozed; shot; bombed and dropped white phosphorous on trapped civilians.

and during this "war"????
what did these terrorists (not freedom fighters, not rebels...terrorists) in Gaza manage?:

"According to Israeli authorities, three Israeli civilians and one soldier were killed by rockets fired from Gaza during Cast Lead."

meh.
they deserve it for being there, fer sure.
why don't they just LEAVE.
