Georgia woman spends a month in jail after police confuse Spaghetti-O's for meth
Georgia woman spends a month in jail after police confuse Spaghetti-O's for meth : News : CNYcentral.com

A woman spent a month in jail after deputies confused leftover Spaghetti-O’s for drugs.

The Gainesville Times reports that deputies arrested 23-year old Ashley Gabrielle Huff, of Gainesville, after they found a spoon covered with a suspicious residue inside the car she was riding in.

Huff was booked into the Hall County Jail and charged with possession of methamphetamine.

She spent more than a month in jail after she could not afford bond, according to the Times. She even attempted to go through the drug court program.

When a crime lab analysis report came back, it confirmed the spoon was encrusted with spaghetti sauce, not drugs.

Huff was released after spending nearly 30 days in jail.

She was arrested because she's black. That's a fact that half the public wouldn't doubt in the least, if she happened to actually be black.

But, there's more to the story. She was acting strange when she was pulled over, so the cops were suspicious. They fieldsted the spoon and it came back positive. That's why she was arrested. It couldn't have helped when she claimed it was dried spaghettios sauce that she was eating out of can, like a methhead. It turns out that being black wasn't the reason.

LOL doesn't surprise me. The Gainesville police aren't very respected by the citizenry there because of incidences like this. However, police officers like them give a totally bad rap for the people who do their jobs well.

So, I'm assuming that you're saying most of the population wouldn't even look at her photo, and just assume she's black?

Let's all take a good look at her skin color for a second because I'm pretty sure she is a red-headed Caucasian...meaning she is not black lol...are some of us color blind?

There is nothing in the story or the linked to story to suggest they did an on the spot field test and found meth.
Where did you pull this assertion from? Any sources/links?

Is that what you think? If she were black, you don't think a lot of people would be completely sure she was arrested because she is black.

I'm not aware of your situation, but why did you need to introduce race into this rather non-serious thread? Have you been the object of discrimination and the like? If so I understand why you brought this issue up.

I ask because the first thing you mention was about someone being black. I assumed she was white because the picture accompanying the article was of a white woman, not a black woman. So no, it was not the first thing in my mind her being black. Nor would it be if there were no picture, especially, if I remember correctly, meth heads generally are not black.

Don't you know what jamal is saying he assumes all blacks think we only get arrested because we black. I think too much rush Limbaugh or something. Those racist black folks always blaming the white man sheeple public they don't know any better but the same thing he accuses them of doing he does in his own way.

Do people still listen to Rush Limbaugh? But as for why he said it, yes I am aware of why. I just wanted to see if he could see it.
