If I was Harry, faking my own death and having a new identity would have been an option to consider lol

Moving to Botswana and living my own life and set up a mini Harry wildlife kingdom...and never returning to the land of my birth,

And if I was Diana, I would have adopted a dog and gone everywhere with it as an emotional support animal, and train it to bite any photogprahers/paps. Then they would have taken photos of the dog and not me.

Don't understand where all the hate on Meghan and Harry is coming from. She felt the royal family (at least some of them) was racist; I don't think she is making up her feelings. The royal family had no choice to accept her because of media attention. I really admire Harry (or any man/woman) for going through with the marriage despite family disapproval for no good reasons...he is a brave young man. If Meghan was racist, she would not have married Harry.
Because he was born and raised into a wonderful life and position in this world. And he abdicated his life and let down a nation because of his refusal. He is no longer there to advocate for the people and instead is throwing rocks at those who do.
It's not surprising that they are furiously disappointed in the two of them. Everyone is.

But that isn't what they did...

They wrote books whining about their family...wanting the privileges but not the responsibilities that accompany them.

The royal family had plenty of good reasons, it does not take much to recognize an opportunist.

His bravery is so evident in all his interviews!!!

"Woe is me" << this should have been the title of the book.

The royals basically have zero impact nowadays; they are basically there for image and show. If he wants to, he can still create impact privately. I think only conservatives are upset, which is ironic since conservatives are naturally against monarchy. Maybe there is a yearning for the glory days of old Britannia but those days no longer exist, especially with the recent passing of Queen Elizabeth who lived about 100 years.

Actually it isn't as low of an affect as you would imagine.

Their government is different than ours with the house of commons and house of Lord's and the Prime Minister.
The Royals have all direct control over taxes.
But it isn't as cut and dried as that.

The Monarch is also the "Pope" of the Church of England.

But as such the Royals are regularly daily involved with meetings with various community social groups and charities over the UK....12-18 hour days eating rubber chicken and lamb plates and various biscuits (cookies) at teas.
And as such they actually meet and know the people of the Kingdom on a regular basis.
This all translates to the House of Lord's and Commons and Prime Minister. Allowing them to not directly intervene but indirectly on the nation's behalf.

But the Royals are never, ever seen to be intervening or having a position in politics or economics...by design. They also do indirectly intervene again on an international level as well when the occasion arises.

I know what we see...which is little to nothing. But that is by design. It is anything but that.

I haven't read it and wouldn't mind reading it. I think some people are being overly harsh towards Harry/Meghan, about Harry turning his back on the royal family, being under Meghan's spell, etc.
Here is what those two -- Harry and Meghan -- are doing: (1) promoting Wokeism and all Leftist causes while (2) trying to garner sympathy for themselves with a "poor me" attitude, and (3) then use both to sell books and make money while staying in the limelight.

Queen Elizabeth made a huge mistake by giving them titles, and then she compounded that mistake by failing to take the titles back when they started their shenanigans. And there is no question that poor immature Harry is under the spell of manipulative Meghan.

Harry is the only one of them that i have any respect for. He left mommy and onerous brother (who acted as if he was his daddy ) and cleved to his wife. Good on him. Thumbed his nose at title and nobility and chose his wife.

If people are just calling him Harry, or as Meg calls him, H, then shouldnt that be fine? Nobody has to call him Prince Harry anymore or treat him any different, or bother taking photos of him.

Apparently in NZ, the most banned name of the names register for babies is King.

You are not allowed to call your son King (or daughter) in NZ.

You could have a last name King, Or Kingi, but no first name. However I DID have a girl named Princess in one of my classes at school. She couldnt read, so I mostly read to her.

Fergies new book is called 'My heart for a compass' and its like a romance chicklit.

Meghans book is a picture book called 'The Bench' which I read inside a minute and nobody bought it in the bookshop. Sweet effort but why anyone child would want to read it I dont know. It was like she just wrote it for her husband as it was addressed to him.

Royals arent the best at penning literature. What they should do is get a playwright or a screenwriter in and produce an official royal play which could be this centuries Shakespeare. Then everyone can pretend to be a royal.

Diana had a musical made of her life and it was shown on Netflix, and earned the worst picture Raspberry. It wasnt that bad. However the part of Harry was played by a doll.

americans dont have a good grasp on what the Monarchy actually means to the people of Britain.

megahn did show she was quite clueless about it when she married but then Harry didnt clue her in on everything. He himself doesnt really seem to understand what it all means. I can understand he just wants to be a regular guy but...he cant. Hes priveliged and that comes with responsibilty, even if just being a 'spare'. if not that its the brotherhood that suffers.

Princess Margaret had similar difficulties with her sister. And dont forget that George would never have been king if his brother had not abdicated.

Of course we understand what the monarchy means to Britain, it is their version of the Kardashians and it is something to keep the masses occupied with while the elites take control of the world, enslave you, and then send those they don't need to the glue factory.

The books would have been ghostwritten, of course.

However if it gets people reading, its not all a loss.

I wouldnt say its whining though some could call it that, Maybe whining about your family is something everyone can do. I recall you also whine about yours on CC! It just means you are not alone right?

Families can be hard to handle...royal or not.

I have lived in both the US and England. I went to school with members of the royal family.
The kardashians represent those that worship materialism, they worship sex, and they are pagans. The royals and the kardashians are both part of the same lump of cheese and people are interested in their lives for the same reason.

Sure.

We're also free to have an opinion.
