So please, enough with the whiny conservative angst, socially constructed racial hierarchy that privileges people of color is not, by definition, racism.
Not sure if this was sarcasm or not. I hope it was!

I was simply pointing out, sarcastically, that the "new" definition of racism does not include anything that privileges people of color. By this new definition only things that privilege whites is considered racist. (I should include the fact that if you read Amos it is perfectly reasonable to conclude that this is God's judgement on America for having laws defined that were equally absurd during slavery and Jim Crow)

Interestingly, ADL actually conceded their definition recently. ADL now states: "Racism (interim definition): Racism occurs when individuals or institutions show more favorable evaluation or treatment of an individual or group based on race or ethnicity."

Which means that by the ADL's own definition, the ADL is racist. By that definition, every affirmative action policy based on race is racist. ADL should never have been used as an authoritative lexicon to begin with, but it is nice to see the concession.

Recently Stacy Abrams was photographed maskless during an event at a school where 20+ kids around her were masked. Republicans predictably attacked her for her hypocrisy in this but she pointed out this was a reading event during Black History Month.

This gets complicated so let's walk through it. Yes, it appears hypocritical to mandate masks for everyone else and not for yourself but remember Stacy Abrams is black and only 170 years ago we had slavery of blacks in the US. Think of how troubling it is for Stacy to have to put on a mask when only 170 years ago blacks in this country were slaves! Now some will point out that there were little black children in the picture as well, why was it OK to mandate masks for them while Stacy ignored that and to them the only response is that Stacy doesn't see color.

Obviously she understands that systemic racism has resulted in a world where the rules are for thee and not for her, but she doesn't see color (perhaps she is colorblind?) and so pointing out how this hypocrisy on her part is actually a cruel and insensitive way of making fun of someone with a disability (colorblindness?).

Hope this helps everyone realize how bad you are for "pouncing" on this apparent hypocrisy without considering the context of what happened less than 200 years ago.
Black privilege?
It's black history month after all.
