Yes it is vague but it gets people thinking, especially people who have a bad impression of Jesus/Christianity. Most agnostics/atheists even some Christians think God doesn't care. If the videos accomplish anything they show that God cares.

I was worried about one, I asked but of course don't expect an answer. It said "Jesus Loves Who we Hate:" I asked who the "we" was they thought they were speaking for and who they thought they hated. Not sure about it yet. We had Christians who supported the BLM org and that didn't turn out well. They just need to be a little clearer I think.

It is true that Jesus was an immigrant.
From where did you manufacture this Fake News? This is another example of Leftist baloney to justify migrant invasion.

Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea, went to Egypt temporarily, and returned to Nazareth which was the hometown of Mary and Joseph. Jesus would never have supported lawlessness as seen in migrant invasions today. Indeed He created the borders of nations according to Scripture.

As to the Super Bowl and anything connected to it, Christians should have been boycotting that event for some time.

In a sense, he was essentially a refugee.
Totally false. Jesus was definitely NOT a refugee. These remarks show how easily Christians can accept and parrot Leftist nonsense, but shy away from Bible truth.

Similarly-- some Christians came out swinging when they say the depiction of the Christ on the back of the jacket Damar Hamlin wore to the Super Bowl. Blasphemy! -they scolded.

https://ktxs.com/sports/pro-sports/...nfl-football-controversial-mocks-god-religion

What does the world see, when Christians attack and scold and scald like this? They see attacking, scolding, scalding Christians-- and it's not a good look.

Yeah I don't know about putting him on blast but that jacket was disrespectful in every way. Blasphemy? Don't know but totally out of line. And there is a way to say that. If that was of muhammad he'd have torn to shreds. Don't know what the boy was thinkin' but he got it totally wrong and I hope he learned to be more careful in choosing what he wears in public.

I'd think it is not a good look to wear a jacket that mocks Christ and makes Jesus into a paper doll with add-on accessories.

Imagine if instead that jacket would have depicted Allah.

I know, not a chance that would happen.

I've seen all the He Gets Us commercials.
The one that really sticks out is this one.

Sorry didn't read far enough. You and I agree 100% on this one. I think there is a way to say it, but yeah, how he didn't think he'd get feedback over that, I don't know.

Jesus’ family never left the Roman Empire; they simply fled from one region of Roman territory to another Roman territory. That's like moving to Tenn. from Ky. Then they returned home. You are totally correct.

In a sense, he was essentially a refugee. I suppose you could say that his parents immigrated to Egypt, but in reality they were fleeing Israel and the beast that wanted to kill their son.

No, it was all the Roman Empire, it was like moving from state to state.

Technically correct, as Egypt was considered a special province of the Roman Empire- but the fled Israel because of Herod, who had no power in Egypt. It would be like fleeing to Florida to get away from Gavin Newsom

After they had gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and said, “Get up, take the child and his mother and flee to Egypt, and stay there until I tell you, for Herod is going to look for the child to kill him.” Then he got up, took the child and his mother during the night, and went to Egypt. He stayed there until Herod died.

is this an american thing cos who is US? Meaning the United States?

No ...other countries dont watch superbowl.

I think the US needs a wake up call (although they resent being 'woke') about many things. !

Jesus was a refugee yes. Israel and Egypt are two different nations. The Roman Empire did not stretch to Egypt as far as I know. Judaea was a (far flung) province in the Roman Empire. It would not have been like flleing inside the US. It would have been like if Jesus had been in the USA and fled to Mexico or Cuba or Puerto Rico.

I was just joking around. I suppose some should drink a little less coffee or switch to decaffeinated.

The only time anyone else outside the USA notices the Superbowl is when they have those ads in the middle and Whitney Houston sang their national anthem.

Its a prime spot though!

If she preached or sang the gospel in that spot surely everyone would have heard or seen it. Because apparently peeps are glued to the TV when its superbowl. Its like the Royal Wedding for Brits.

At the Coronation of. King Charles they arent going to have anything so crass as ads in the middle though I would think.

If youve got $2 billion to spend for peoples eyes then yea. You are going to guarantee a captive TV and stadium audience, so be on message! This is why they spraypaint sponsors logos in the fields.

What would you call someone who had to flee because their government was trying to murder them?

Did they run to Egypt as tourists?

No, it was all part of the Roman Empire. It was the same as moving from state to state.

The "Jesus gets us" ads cost 20 million dollars! Why was the money spent on this ad not given to the poor?

Since Jesus returned to Nazareth, he was not a refugee in Judea. He was TEMPORARILY in Egypt. Modern refugees do not go back to their homelands. In fact less than 1% of migrant invaders are genuine refugees, but use that excuse to scam the public and violate immigration laws.

Christians should understand clearly that Bible truths are being DISTORTED BY THE LEFT and even by Christians who should know better. This is all a movement to accommodate lawlessness and perversion.

Baloney. No one was talking about their return to Judea, but the fleeing from it (as a refugee). They hid out in Egypt until Herod died sometime around 1BC as scholars reckon. Don't Americanize their story to suit your political biases.
