And I'm pretty certain that understanding end times exactly right is NOT a prerequisite for "being raptured".... you have to be a believer and follower of Jesus to be "caught up" and skip the tribulation.... or so I've gathered from the discussions of others.

I've stated it before.... it just doesn't matter to me at all. It's not even on my radar. If anything, I'm a non-rapture kind of guy.
For those that are interested, I'm sure it's interesting to study, but it should make no difference in the way you live your life...
I see people ready to come to blows over what the 12 candlesticks or the 7 seals or the 14 headed beastie are... I mean, come on... NONE of that is a salvation issue.
It always strikes me that those that are saying "alert!! alert!! They are going to rebuild the temple!! " are really saying... "hey, you better straighten up, and get your act together... the end could come next month!" ...... when they really should be saying, "hey, lets all live EVERY DAY like the end is coming TONIGHT".... because that's the way Jesus wanted us to live.... and, for each individual one of us, the end COULD come tonight....
MY priority is to try to live every day, doing my best to become more Christ like... when he comes, he comes.... I plan to be as ready as I can be.... every day.
