While the western media concentrates on the Corona Virus and Climate Change the situation in Syria seems to have taken a back burner position in the order of priority. The situation in Syria has existed since 2011 and got progressively worse each year. Now Turkey a member of NATO is pouring more troops and weapons in a country whose allies include Russia and Iran. Europe may possibly be faced with another 2000,000 Syrian refugees on its borders.
Turkey was the centre of the Assyrian Empire. In 734 BC Tiglath-pileser the king of Assyria conquered Damascus. Most of the City was spared destruction. The fate of Damascus and Syria as a whole was Prophesied by Isaiah (17:1-2), Jeremiah (49:23-27) In Isaiah prophecy its says that Damascus will become a heap of ruins. this hasn't happened yet but keep watching! I think after the destruction of Damascus by Turkey and its allies Israel will be attacked next and that chapter 38 of Ezekiel describes that attack. In Revelation the term Gog and Magog is used to describe the nations of the earth. I believe what's happening in Syria is a precursor of the battle of Armageddon.
