you guys missed it man

here is the real intention behind this genius doctor

"If we bring this patient back to life we will receive the first real account of what actually happens after death. The head transplant gives us the first insight into whether there is an afterlife, a heaven, a hearafter.

"If we are able to prove that our brain does not create consciousness, religions will be swept away forever. They will no longer be necessary, as humans no longer need to be afraid of death. We no longer need a Catholic Church, no Judaisim, and no Islam because religions in general will be obsolete.

"It will be a turning point in human history."

did the pretty pictures distract you?

nothing good there
Well, they begin with the assumption that there is no afterlife, or heaven, or hereafter...and then they assume that the person brought back to life would be confirming that. You know what they say about a person who "assumes".

Indeed, if possible, "It will be a turning point in human history", just not in the way they have assumed it will be.

apparently this doctor is on the fringes of research, but he has not proven his research to the satisfaction of those qualified to judge it. he is, in short, a kook. a mad scientist

I don't see this as a joke though. I don't think anything coming back from one of his experiments would be conclusive of anything other than the devil's kingdom is currently alive and well

I don't take things for granted and if things are allowed to go on in the world, we will probably see all kinds of monstrous things if we live long enough

thanks for actually responding to the reason I posted the thing

Uhm.... so in short: A biased "scientist" trying to disprove afterlife by freezing peoples brains?

This DOES sound like a bad sci-fi movie.
Pretty sure he won't get any kinds of results though, how would they get the brain to work again, regardless of afterlife?

Imagine waking up after being on the frosty side for 500 years, it must be like just a blink of an eye for the person dying and then waking up...and 500 years have passed...poor idiot lol.

Yeah...here recently I witnessed a news article about some man that is severely handicapped and in a wheel chair. He is going to be the first human head transplant attempt....just think...he is alive now, but in a broken body....et they will cut his head off and attempt to attach it to another body.....

I don't think I would like the odds.........

I am fairly confident that NO ONE will be waking up.....they are dead...either in the presence of God or cooking in hell....there is no coming back when your head gets thawed and re-attached.......

just saying ;)

Jesus said to the living<---LET the DEAD bury the DEAD

For all practical purposes....the LOST are the walking dead!
They really are both the lost and the walking dead. Sad what's happened to them, but frightening to see the videos of how they are.

I had a friend, I grew up with him, my best friend in primary school. He went into a coma for a while last year after taking some black mamba (something similar). He's ok now, but horrible what happened to him.

He shouldn't have taken the drug either but, at least he's ok now (don't know if he's still using). Sad, first time I heard about him in years and it's about that.

i say familiar spirits know you well enough to play as you

when they freeze your brain youd die

and your brain would be used as a computing device for what ever they put it in

i doubt this is possible
but if it is

youd be dead and a demon would be roaming around pretending to be you

There's already a ready source of frozen brains in DC. Ia head transplant might do some good for them too.

Sevenseas, proving the non existence of life after death has been going on since the early days of science. I can't see this wayward doctor changing any true Christian's mind. We know that we will have a glorious life with God when we die.

No, it is better to have truth.

We don't believe in God because it is "better than believing in nothing."

We believe in God because there is a God, and he is real, and present, and he has revealed himself.
He has revealed himself in creation, and in our conscience, and in our minds, and through the scripture, and through prophecy, and through miracles, and through the resurrection of his son, and through his continual communion with each of us.
that wasn't exactly what I meant. I never meant to question God's existence.
