God used a Samson, a Jonah, a murderer like Paul, a adulterer like David, etc to bring about his will. When I need surgery to cut out the cancer, I want the best surgeon for the job. I have 2 options. 1 is best in practice but doesn't speak very good and often has a prideful attitude. 2 isnt the best but has great bedside manners. Who do you choose to cut the cancer out the country? In war sometimes it is the rough General that we need to get what is seen as impossible odds.

This is that time in history. We would of never reached this point is the church had remained God centered and stayed in all parts of politics, school, and government. We wouldn't need a Samson or Gideon. Both at first wasn't ideal but each in their own way did the exact will of God in a time when the Jews seemed to have no one to save them.

Nebuchadnezzar was doing God's will when he sacked Jerusalem, too.
we know how the world turns out, and we know we're headed there. we shouldn't kid ourselves about being some kind of '
holy nation' that's spared from God's wrath.

And it shall happen in that day that I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone for all peoples; all who would heave it away will surely be cut in pieces, though all nations of the earth are gathered against it.
(Zechariah 12:3)
notice God says "all nations of earth" ? the US is either no longer a nation in that day, or it's one of those cut into pieces by The Stone.
i'm as thankful to live in this land as anyone else here - but i have to face the truth

I think it's tragic that you see this in terms of worldly political parties instead of in terms of truth.

oh my

I hope that glass house of yours does not suffer any strong winds

and you no more think it tragic than I support Democrats :giggle:

Where in scripture does it say we should give up on pur culture, or the people within it? We fight for justice and what is good. None of us knows how long until the end events occur.

No one says we are a Holy nation but currently we are deeply divided as God's people fight the demonic forces that are pushing against us. I will say this nation is still 100% better than anywhere on Earth.

Yes, it's very possible that I misunderstood what you were saying, so thank you for addressing that.

Let's see if we can come to a place where we do understand each other. :)

What do you think it's the most likely explanation for the change in Trump's words?
Hi Dan, not addressed to me but I don't think Trump is sold on man made climate change/global warming at all .. I think even if he acknowledges it to some degree it is so he can find common ground on the issue (just smart politics) .. I don't think he will ever support financing any of it and shouldn't ..

You think that's pretty funny @7seasrekeyed ?

He used to support Hillary Clinton over Giuliani :

https://time.com/3962799/donald-trump-hillary-clinton/

He used to support abortion :

https://qz.com/1623437/trump-shifted-from-pro-choice-to-pro-life-as-he-planned-a-presidential-run/

He used to be a registered liberal Democrat supporting legalization of drugs and taxes on the rich:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...ich-donald-trump-was-once-a-liberals-liberal/

Just my opinion of course, but it sure looks to me like he's played conservatives, and an awful lot of them have fallen for it hook line and sinker.
It's the same game the GOP has been playing to buy the Bible Belt vote ever since Falwell. Dangle a carrot, and play up the 'us v them' story - y'all love that stuff.
Ha, I enjoy most of your posts but I'm not impressed with your liberal lean .. Bible Belt ? I thank God I am a native of South Carolina and love being under estimated.. Back to Trump, what does he have to gain ? I'll tell what I think, it was more about what he had to lose and saw it coming fast imo .. All his supporters like me saw it coming too .. The US is the oldest nation on earth under one constitution and still the greatest and in generally still in Christ at the core .. Except for some little 35,000 populated country, Island or something ..

A few examples .. Hottest day ever recorded 134* July 1913 . Hottest week ever recorded in the US July 1913 .. Hottest decade ever in the US 1930's .. There is no significant sea level rise according to high water marks from the 1800's on the East coast, some slightly lower on Europe's west coast and the same or lower on our west coast .. Ocean currents in the north atlantic are currently trending cooler and 1000's of record breaking cold and ice records being made lately .. Islands can be sinking or rising depending on prevailing winds fluctuating water currents to change .. Continents and Islands sea level change are more likely due to continental drift and how many rivers/ tributaries carry sediment into the oceans 24 hrs a day 7 days a week for how many years not tom mention wind erosion lost to the oceans . Yet bankers still loan billions for waterfront development with long term loans with a chance to lose all profit within 10 yrs (beginning 20 yr ago or more) .. Ants creating more co2 than all human machinery combined and termites creating more co2 than all humans combined .. And they're fitting cows with ''fart collecting bags'' LMAO .. The ozone scare scam was on a smaller scale created to protect a Freon patent about to run out, ha they got us and billions off us on that one too but what's that ? The ozone is now normal and they claim they fixed it .. This generation is conditioned if someone wearing a lab coat with a pen and clipboard he's an obvious expert and not to be questioned, it's getting worse with censorship .. Not by the hair of my chinny, chin, chin though ..

Now what about Carbon ? Was it created creation week ? Can Carbon be created by man ? And more oil, gas, and coal fields are being discovered all the time where-as when Rockefeller discovered oil it was thought a rare find only in Pennsylvania .. Before that we were harvesting whales for oil , then Texas, then oil started being found every where as time moved on .. Israel was thought for yrs to be one of the only countries without oil in the middle east and very recently have discovered more than they could use, one field I think ten times thicker/deeper volume deposit than a normal oil field .. Texas discovered a couple new fields to make the US the top producer of energy on earth since Trump .. And old fields they thought were depleted are filling back up, in other places Argentina, Venezuela, Mexico, Brazil are just a few where giant new fields are being found .. I was no fan of Chaves but when oil was over a hundred dollars a barrel he offered to supply the world for a couple hundred yrs for 50 dollars a barrel .. So all this abundance of oil makes me wonder what's behind the green energy/global warming thingy knowing how hard Rockefeller tried to corner the market . Our co2 ppm atmospheric content is at a recorded all time low 250-400 ppm is nothing and actually is bad for plants, compared to 1200 ppm or more it used to be .. They pipe it direct to green houses now and Japanese Dr Kai Mori at Japan university put a cherry tomato plant under pressure with co2 (80's I think) and the cherry tomatoes were huge, the size of baseballs, and grew so big he transplanted it to a mall or something where it produced thousands of tomatoes, grew so tall they used ladders and it lived for years ..
Then you have methane literally bubbling out of the oceans, some even theorize giant methane releases causes ship to lose buoyancy in the devils triangle and planes to lose fire because of oxygen replaced by methane concentrated air bubbles .. I don't know about all that though until they prove it .

Now what about Carbon ?
Derived from the Latin term "carbo'' which is translated as '"charcoal", the term carbon refers unto the chemical element which has the atomic number of 6. Three naturally occurring allotropes of carbon are known to exist: amorphous, graphite and diamond and a fourth which was first produced in 1969, white carbon which has the ability to split a single beam of light into two beams.

Was it created creation week ?
According to the scientifically accepted interpretation of Genesis, all space, matter and energy which exists in this universe has always existed, so carbon as well as all matter, including space and energy are eternal and therefore can't be created nor destroyed but merely change forms.

While the heavens had melted away when the previous universe collapsed from its expanded state into a highly condensed state that in beginning created our known and observed heaven and earth in its current form as it rapidly expanded from that condensed state.

Can Carbon be created by man ?
No, neither can man be created by carbon.

No, neither can man be created by carbon.
I don't really have a reason to believe there was a physical existence before Gen 1 , The beginning of time the first day

Hi bojack,

I was reminded of this verse after pondering your post
Proverbs 21: 1. The king's heart in the hands of the Lord is like the water streams, and by him it is turned in any direction at his pleasure.

I would think President Trump isn't being given the full story here. The climate of the earth changes and has throughout history. Meanwhile, making it appear a dramatic threat to all inhabitants on the planet makes for a market that seeks to satisfy and quell the fears generated from that GW effort.
People, egocentric as we are due to our nature, think we can save the earth that has existed for over a million years longer than we have.
We buy overpriced cars that run on the electricity generated from coal mining or nuclear power. We buy CFB bulbs that are filled with mercury vapor. And we don't actually realize those particulars do nothing to save or better the exploitation of the environment. But feeling like we're doing something seems to be enough.
Humans are the worst thing to have happened to this world. If its in trouble it is always because of us.
A poster I saw once at the local YMCA , while it lasted taped to the east and west sides of their building, read: IF YOU WANT TO SAVE THE PLANET KILL YOURSELF!

I can see why it was taken down. I can see why it was printed.
We've only 11 years to live now, if we listen to AOC's perspective concerning GW. Though she was made aware of how ridiculous she sounded when she was seriously touting that nonsense, and then made a snide remark as she claimed much later that she was kidding.

We are the issue.
What do we do about that.

I know! That's why I thought it was so surprising that in 2009 Trump signed on to a full-page ad in the New York times saying

“If we fail to act now, it is scientifically irrefutable that there will be catastrophic and irreversible consequences for humanity and our planet.”

Politicians in office, especially the highest office, have advisors. I'm of the mind that this is what persuaded Trump to go ahead with support of this notion of CC. Think of the revenue that is generated by the fear paradigm that Climate Change, "Global Warming", has afforded those in the business of exploiting it.

It's no secret that people who enter politics , like our Congress and on both sides of the aisle, and are not part of the top 1$% when they get there are in a matter of a few years. Why? Lobbyists , special interests, donors.
Perhaps this turn about by Trump is not about money but about those who will support him in future on certain issues. One thing that could be responsible for this is persuading Trump that acknowledging CC is a way to clean up the environment. Which would be odd since Trump has amended many so called protections in that area and particularly as pertains to the officiating of DNREC.

Time will tell. What do we have left now? Eleven years before the world goes caput? :p Thank you AOC. I wonder if she realized when she made that silly remark that she was also saying she would not live to be a career politician. When the earth goes, we all go bye bye.

My impression was that he had acknowledged it a lot in the ad in 2009, and contributed financially to that ad.

Another quote I found interesting from that link
'The 2009 ad also argues that a shift to clean energy “will spur economic growth” and “create new energy jobs.” '

Exactly! And I'm only speculating here, but it's possible that's what Trump was thinking of in 2009.

Perhaps he did believe it or he could have been trying to garner some political points from the swamp critters .. A lot of people became aware of the lie in 5-6 yrs of then .. There's plenty been exposed since then .. I see the whole thing as an NWO scheme .. There was a time when I half way trusted the news, scientists and teachers / politicians somewhat and I would have never believed the degree of lies I now see .. Not just little a little propaganda but complete opposite of the truth lies..

Swamp critters are the play for pay who went too far and have controlled DC for the last 40 yrs .. Trump said before he run for president he was on the other side of politics paying both the parties candidates donations for political favors including Hilary .. He paid for a lot of legislation to enable him to enhance and grow his real estate and gambling business's ..
