He is the least able to prevent WWW 3, he thinks he can just bully people/countries into submission.
Seriously? I didn't hear about this. When did they say we were going to be getting a World Wide Web 3?

Good catch, I had a good laugh.

If we could remove all the debauchery and perversion in WWW 3 I would be all for it.

Yeah early morning and late in the day are not my best most lucid times!

Was Trump pretending to love the United States flag In order to gain votes or was he being sincere showing his love for America?
Did you post #1🥰
I couldn’t tell you if Trump is genuinely a patriot or not..

If I was an American.. I would be more worried why the only 2 options is a former president and a vice president… both have had an opportunity to maga.. neither seem to of changed much.

What do they offer that is different?

Politics., the great distraction show. Meanwhile.. red or blue the problem is the same.. as is the solution offered. Simply a new spokesperson.

Perhaps if you lived here and were paying 50 to 100% more for everything, you might think there was a difference in ways other than a spokesperson. If you lost your job because of cuts that companies have made due to the increased cost of regulation, or to an incompetent worker who is a DEI hire, you might feel differently. Or if you live in a city where illegal immigrants have driven up the cost of rent, or car insurance, you might feel differently. Or if a family member has lost their lives at the hands of someone who should not be in this country, you might feel differently. Or if you have buried a family member in a branch of military service because the Commander in Chief was more worried about optics than safety, you might feel differently. Or if you were put in jail for praying at an abortion clinic while others who use their positions of influence to gain untold millions of dollars go unprotected, you might feel differently. If you had your voice on social media taken away through government influence while they produced propaganda and lies, you might feel differently.

But who knows?

It was the solemn anniversary of 9-11 and at a firehouse. A fan asked for his signature.

It isn't a federal law violation.

What do you make of this code then?

(g) The flag should never have placed upon it, nor on any part of it, nor attached to it any mark, insignia, letter, word, figure, design, picture, or drawing of any nature.

Notice the language? "Should .."

The U.S Code that pertains to flag desecration is a suggestion not a dictate.

Well, I think a former President is the last person who should desecrate a flag.
A Presidents signature on our flag isn't desecration, imo.

When President Trump is no longer here that flag will be a historic artifact that could put her through college if sold to the right person.

Wasnt he murdered along with the rest of SEAL team 6 when their chopper was shot down over Afghanistan during Obama's occupation?
Nope. He's still alive. I hear him from time to time on radio shows. He may have a podcast of his own.

More rules for thee but not for me.
https://flagofhonor.org/

I guess people are not familiar with this. This flag that Trump signed was related to the 911 memorial, as is this flag of honor and as is the flag signed by the Navy Seal.

Only a democrat would see this as desecrating the flag.

I am not a democrat/liberal/leftist so stop with the accusation so tiresome on these threads.

The flag belongs to all American citizens and no one should sign it.

The code is "a hope" people would abide by, a leader should be the model. I am sure there are plenty of other objects he could have signed, putting it on the flag signals I am someone who can flaunt their privilege.

But hey, his admirers and defenders no matter what he does, likes to dismiss his disdain for etiquette and decorum, so fine, let the great USA slide further down in the morass of banality and baseness.

The pot is approaching a boil and the frog is almost dead.

That is your opinion. But it is very clear that many with regards to the 911 memorial do not agree with your opinion. These people are directly involved having lost a family member so I don't believe your opinion trumps their opinion.

As for me, I am simply an observer. I was in the boy scouts for years and know how one is supposed to handle the flag. But I was also in NYC during 911 and know that putting names on the flag was part of the grieving process for many. I never got involved in the complaints about people who were intentionally desecrating the US flag, I saw that as a first amendment right. Protecting speech involves protecting speech you don't agree with, so I did not see any reason to have to agree with them or not to support their right to express themselves. I felt the same with those who put names on a flag.

I don't believe anyone would have taken offense at Trump signing a flag for someone who lost someone on 911, it reminded me of people having baseballs and jersey's signed by the player. The only reason anyone even took issue with this is because others took issue with people burning flags and intentionally desecrating them.

This thread is incredibly petty in my opinion. But like I said, I am simply an observer to this debate. I don't deny there is a proper way in which a flag is supposed to be handled, that desecrating the flag is an insult to all citizens and that like any rule there are exceptions to the rule, and these memorial flags to 911 are in my opinion the exception to the rule.
