Why wear a mask if I won't get that sick?

I wear one because I am high risk, but I also wear it because should I have the virus it is nice for me to keep as many of the virus germs to myself should I be infected and not know it yet to help protect the other high risk or non risk people around me. It is the right thing to do to help not to spread the virus. It isn't a democrat or republican thing to do it is a common courtesy because I love my fellow human thing to do.

I just wonder what the real count will be with not wearing a mask in and around the White House just how many people will get the virus working closely around the President and all the rally's held with a lot of non mask wearing? There are already several testing positive in the inner circle.

That's the other thing that makes this positive test suspect. And again, right after the first debate. During the debate the mask question was asked and of course the thousands of people attending Trump rallies without masks was addressed.
Trump said they've had no issues reported as far as people getting sick afterward.

Now we hear just a couple of days after he says that he's tested positive for Covid 19. The implication is all over the place. As in, reckoning back to that rally comment.

When there are people who didn't get tested being told by SMS that they've tested positive for Covid 19, I think this is all very suspect as pertains to our president.

Concerns arise as some receive positive COVID-19 results but never got tested

People being hygienic enough would normally not need a mask for things that spread like the flu.
But that is the problem. People don’t think anymore and follow instructions which have brought us here in the first place. (Here is the pandemic)

What is more hygienic? Sneezing in a paper tissue and throw it away or sneezing in my mask or elbow?

If he recovers with fairly mild symptoms, it will make the left/democrats, and those that have yet to concede that this virus is nowhere near as deadly as we were told look bad?

The only science on masks shows that they don't work (e.g. in preventing contraction of flu), and that they potentially cause sickness. Note that these are surgical grade masks, not the makeshift or Mickey Mouse masks you buy in the stores with the disclaimer "this mask does not protect against viruses".

Well I will wear my mask and you are free to not wear a mask (Moses_Young and gb9) we will continue on our ways and in two years let me know how it worked out for ya.

We haven't even been a year with Covid 19 and as of today's count we have lost 1.3 Million world wide and 209,000 USA.

RESPONSE TO BOTH ABOVE....

I just hope he is more empathetic to those who have had it before.... Plus there have been developed treatments that weren't available in the beginning of this pandemic as the medical and science folks have developed them as we have gone along so Trump will benefit from those findings that the first people didn't have that died.

I believe I heard just the other day that only 1 in 3 people wash their hands after going to the bathroom... This really grosses me out and I have for years told my daughter if I never teach you anything else always remember to floss your teeth and wash your hands after going to the bathroom....

People don't do common sense things and no wonder germs spread like wildfire.... I promise I'm not a germaphobe....

Depends on your definition of “moderate “. That’s a pretty low and vague bar.

His Dr has said he may be discharged and back to work as early as tomorrow.

Several years ago I had the common flu. I’m a couple of decades younger than Trump, yet I was virtually incapacitated for almost a week.

This is very concerning to many Expatriates here.
I have a questions about this positive test. Are we sure it isn't a false positive? Does this mean President Trump has Covid-19 or has the antibodies from exposure to Covid-19?

Yes people even pick their nose and then touch food in the store that another person buys. I have seen youtubes where people use mouthwater in the store, spit it back in the tube and place it back on the shelve.
But we law abiding citizens need to wear a mask, it does not even require a FFP filter for our state. And children spreading it below 12 years old should not wear a mask. This is absurd.

Im telling you people, we are living in a Monty Python script. All this is staged because it does reality no good.
I am a hypochonder and a complete germaphobe but I do not freak out with corona as its mortality rate is lower then told in the media. I fear those handeling corona more, they would sell their own mother for a seat in the European parlement. Where is the time we only had one dictator and not a groupy of dictators in our politics....

See, we had an economy that pushed people to work sick. So our priorities were not to sensitize with diseases as the flu. I truly wonder if people ever started yelling at eachother for a sneeze to wear a mask while that sneeze (of a flu) might as well kill another person and will kill.

But then is it black and white? Do people die of the flu or WITH the flu? A person dying with the flu is batteling other issues.
Schools should better learn how to take care for yourself in healthy ways and not mess them up by repeating what unelected people are jabbering.
