As things stand today Trump could win a third term maybe even by bigger margins than the 2024 election. Hypothetically speaking if Trump were to run for a third term at right this moment he would be a big success considering part of his path to the the 2024 election victory was in breaking off a big piece of the independents and disaffected democrats like RFK Jr, Tulsi Gabbard, Joe Rogan, and Elon Musk and then summarily rewarding them with tangible positions and thus broadening his own tent both ideologically. By recent news posted below it seems a second cohort of the democrats could break away. This middle-left as I term them are those that voted for Kamala but they are increasingly disillusioned with the democrat party's loss and far-left getting even crazier. This middle left cohort are well represented by Bill Maher and Stephen A Smith. In a hypothetical third term election for Trump he would win in perhaps a total 50 state sweep landslide by retaining the center-left he earned in 2024 and having the far-left push the middle-left out of the democrat party like they did to the center and straight into the arms of Trump.
Though considering today is April Fool's Day and that Trump is pretty old and has opted to cultivate a large pool of young and active talent for Successors and give them alot of autonomy I think more realistically is you might be having your chain yanked a little bit playfully.
