Ezekiel 20:30 Wherefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord God; Are ye polluted after the manner of your fathers? and commit ye whoredom after their abominations? 31 For when ye offer your gifts, when ye make your sons to pass through the fire, ye pollute yourselves with all your idols, even unto this day: and shall I be enquired of by you, O house of Israel? As I live, saith the Lord God, I will not be enquired of by you.
I think God is very clear that judgment is determined and He is not going to be enquired of by anyone asking Him to stay His hand.
I think God is very clear that judgment is determined and He is not going to be enquired of by anyone asking Him to stay His hand.
God's judgments are already upon them indeed right up in their faces, but he has not made a full end of them yet. It could be like the days of Ezekiel and Zedekiah. Yet God has not destroyed them fully just yet either, they have a chance to repent and the judgment to befall a later generation as Hezekiah said to Isaiah, concerning the prophecy of the judgment of Jerusalem's destruction by Babylon "Good is the word of the Lord for in my days shall be peace." Jonah also said Nineveh would be destroyed in 40 days and Nineveh's generations did prudently and repented in front of all Earth and Heaven and were spared and Jonah was mad at the first to not see them destroyed in front of his face, but yet Jonah was not a false prophet, in generations later, even before the generation of Jerusalem's Sack, Nineveh's latter generations were destroyed in a famous ancient battle that lasted 40 days just as Jonah had spoke the Lord's judgment to their ancestors.
