God allowed the Jews to live in the land on the condition that they keep their side of the covenant that he made with them.
They have failed to do so. All those who have an uncritical view of Israel should read their bibles. God used the Assyrians to remove the ten tribes who never returned to the land. He used the Babylonians to remove Judah and the Romans to remove them a second time. Their occupation of the land now is for the purpose of judgement not blessing otherwise they would be living in peace. He is using he nations to achieve this. Do you seriously think Israel is fulfilling their part of the covenant? Israel is a secular state that rejects Christ and will continue to do so until the second coming when a remnant will inherit the land. Meanwhile Israel should return to the pre 1967 borders and Jerusalem should be under UN control as an international city by doing so they may have some measure of peace until God decides to intervene.
I never implied anything concerning Israel and their stance before God...having said that...there are numerous sets of scripture that points to the nation standing again in the end and God dealing with them dia the great tribulation and a remnant that will be left to acknowledge God...are you seriously that blind to all of the miracles that have happened in the last 70 years concerning Israel.....

Jews charging Egyptian tanks with no weapons of consequence to have the Egyptian soldiers trip, get out of their tanks and run off

Wind storms that exposes the mine fields so as to allow Jewish troops the ability to do what they need to do

Numerous all out assaults by Muslim nations surrounding Israel to only see Israel defeating them while being undermanned and lacking is sufficient weapons platforms....

ETC.........EVEN secular HISTORY proves this is not of men or by men...........

It's been conservative Christians that have had Israel's back more so than godless liberals. If obama was able to run for a third term, Jews would still vote for him today regardless of his actions against Israel for the last eight years.
Obama is blamed for many things but he has come and soon he goes. However it has been US policy to back Israel since its inception and the largest single Jewish population resides not in Israel but the US. One could almost view Israel as a US colony.

Actually the U.S. did not officially recognize Israel until the vote in 1949 if I remember right

UN General Assembly Resolution 181 (II), Annex A: Plan of Partition with Economic Union

On 14 May 1948 the State of Israel was established by the Israeli Declaration of Independence.[SUP][1][/SUP] The Arab League and Arab countries were opposed to any partition of Palestine, and to the establishment of Israel, and took military action against the newly formed state in the 1948 Arab–Israeli War.
On the declaration of independence, a Provisional government of Israel was established; and while military operations were still in progress, the Provisional government was promptly recognised by the United States as the de facto authority of Israel,[SUP][2][/SUP][SUP][3][/SUP] followed by Iran (which had voted against the UN partition plan), Guatemala, Iceland, Nicaragua, Romania, and Uruguay. The Soviet Union was the first country to recognise Israel de jure on 17 May 1948,[SUP][4][/SUP] followed by Poland, Czechoslovakia, Yugoslavia, Ireland, and South Africa.[SUP][citation needed][/SUP] The United States extended de jure recognition after the first Israeli election,[SUP][5][/SUP] on 31 January 1949.[SUP][6][/SUP]
On 15 May 1948, one day after the declaration of its establishment, Israel applied for membership of the United Nations, but the application was not acted on by the Security Council. Israel's second application was rejected by the Security Council on 17 December 1948 by a 5 to 1 vote, with 5 abstentions. Syria was the sole negative vote; the U.S., Argentina, Colombia, the Soviet Union and Ukraine voted in favor; and Belgium, Britain, Canada, China and France abstained.
Israel's application was renewed in 1949 after the Israeli elections. The Security Council by UN Security Council Resolution 69 on 4 March 1949 voted 9 to 1 in favour of membership, with Egypt voting no and Great Britain abstaining.[SUP][7][/SUP] Those voting in favour were: China (ROC), France, United States, Soviet Union, Argentina, Canada, Cuba, Norway, and Ukrainian SSR.

I bow to your knowledge of the history behind this subject. So OK the US has supported Israel all but about seven months of its existence.

While publically the U.S. has supported Israel, however, behind the scenes the U.S. has been rather antagonistic toward Israel...sanctions, threats, refusals to make a stand for their full rights, push to divide the land.......etc.....

On the other hand the US provides for Israels defence with cash and equipment. For instance when Saddam launched waves of Scud missiles at Israel during the Gulf War it was an American defense system that stopped them. the US has given them virtually everything short of Nuclear weapons but it is alleged that South Africa helped them with those.

I would be interested to know where your get your sources from. As for secular history it would be good for more people to read about the modern history of Palestine. They may find that the birth of Israel is not quite as miraculous as they have been led to think.

Which thought do you want me to expand? I am skeptical of ''miraculous'' reports of all shapes and sizes because they always seem to circulate round congregations in a similar way that urban legends do in secular media.. You never seem to meet anyone who can verify the details or who has no ulterior motive in promoting the said miracle. Th odd thing is that people disbelieve Catholic claims but grasp anything else as factual regardless of its source.

There are many secular History books on sale that will give details of the modern history of the Middle East and of Palestine/Israel. One obvious conclusion is that the creation of Modern Israel was a purely political decision that took root in Europe during the 19th Century and was helped along by the defeat of the Ottoman Empire in WW1 had the Turks not backed the losing side the Middle East would be very different and Israel would not exist. The outcome of WW1 was the major cause of most of the world problems today.

Yeah...the land and city may be temporarily divided for gain, but it will not stand....the land belongs to Israel and ultimately the Lion of Judah will rule the land with a rod of iron and ISRAEL will completely control the land from the Euphrates to the Mediterranean......
You are right, the land does belong to Israel, and God will favor Israel like He has in the past, and always, and I mean always, brings Israel to the truth, and He will do it again, and it is only a temporary splitting of Jerusalem, which they should not of done, but God said they are blinded in part at that time,so they do not know better, and God will bring them to the truth that Jesus is their Messiah, and Israel will flourish better than they did in the past, but God loves all people Jew and Gentile, and is no respecter of persons, but He chose Israel as His home base, and Jerusalem as His capital, which He placed His name there, but all people that love God is favored as much as the finest Jew,why, because God is no respecter of persons, and a Gentile when they are saved are a Jew inward, and become part of the commonwealth of Israel, and if they are a Jew inward then they are as favored as much as any Jew that ever existed, why, because God is no respecter of persons.

I am so glad that you understand dcontroversal, and take the Bible for what it really says instead of giving heed to what people say,but investigate yourself and see what the truth really is.

The New Jerusalem is pattered after Israel, and it is not because He views Israel as better than any Gentile, but He had to pick a nation to work through, and Abraham is the father of all nations, and all nations are blessed through Abraham, but God is no respecter of persons, and it is the nation of Israel that will flourish in the millennial reign of Christ, and Jesus and the saints shall rule over the world, both Jew and Gentile, why, because God is no respecter of persons, and anybody whether Jew or Gentile is favored with Him.

So we should not look at Israel like God cares more about them than other people, but Israel is all the saints home base, whether Jew or Gentile, and Israel is the Church, for Jesus said salvation is of the Jews, and all who would like to participate in that activity going on.

And Israel is not forsaken, for God said if the ordinances of heaven are still in effect, the sun,and the moon, and the stars, are shining, then His covenant with Israel still stands, and God has not forsaken Israel which He once foreknew, and I am the LORD,I change not, therefore you sons of Jacob are not consumed.

Israel is only going through problems because of their rejecting Jesus, but God said after they borne their shame that the kingdom will be restored to them, but God did not forsake them, for concerning Israel,God said, that the gifts of God are without repentance on God's part, and if they cry out to Him even in the latter days, which is the last days of the last days, that God will work with them as in time past, which God has always done, and will do again.

The truth is when we are saved,we belong to the commonwealth of Israel, and it is all the saints home base, whether Jew or Gentile, and Jerusalem is God's capital, which He said I placed My name there.

But like I said it is not because God favors the Jews more than any other people, but God had to pick a nation to work through, and He is no respecter of persons, and all who accept Him is favored.

The truth is whether Jew or Gentile,Israel is our home base,so we should not go against it,for when we are saved we become part of the commonwealth of Israel, and are a Jew inward.

The Bible says that God raises up and knocks kingdoms down. I definitely see Israel as a miracle.

Israel rejects this shameful anti Israel resolution and the UN and will not abide by its terms.

Why doesn't Israel just buy the land it needs for these settlements?
Because they do not have a dime of their own. They produce nothing but death and destruction. The US just gave them $85 billion and I cannot fathom why. One fact still remains,

..According to a 2002 study by the Jewish Agency, "the number of Jews in the world is declining at an average of 50,000 per year."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jewish_population

And the clock is ticking on;tic,tic,tic.,,.until they are no more remembered

A “miracle” resides in comic books. What you see is blasphemy in the eyes of the Lord

(Deu 7:6 KJV) For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth.

(Deu 7:7 KJV) The LORD did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye were the fewest of all people:

(Deu 7:8 KJV) But because the LORD loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn unto your fathers, hath the LORD brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondmen, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.

(Deu 7:9 KJV) Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;

(Deu 7:11 KJV) Thou shalt therefore keep the commandments, and the statutes, and the judgments, which I command thee this day, to do them.

(Deu 7:12 KJV) Wherefore it shall come to pass, if ye hearken to these judgments, and keep, and do them, that the LORD thy God shall keep unto thee the covenant and the mercy which he sware unto thy fathers:

(Deu 7:13 KJV) And he will love thee, and bless thee, and multiply thee: he will also bless the fruit of thy womb, and the fruit of thy land, thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep, in the land which he sware unto thy fathers to give thee.

(Lev 19:34 KJV) But the stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God

(Deu 1:16 KJV) And I charged your judges at that time, saying, Hear the causes between your brethren, and judge righteously between every man and his brother, and the stranger that is with him.

(Deu 10:19 KJV) Love ye therefore the stranger: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.

(Deu 24:20 KJV) When thou beatest thine olive tree, thou shalt not go over the boughs again: it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow.

(Deu 24:21 KJV) When thou gatherest the grapes of thy vineyard, thou shalt not glean it afterward: it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow.

(Zec 7:10 KJV) And oppress not the widow, nor the fatherless, the stranger, nor the poor; and let none of you imagine evil against his brother in your heart.

(Exo 22:21 KJV) Thou shalt neither vex a stranger, nor oppress him: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.

(Exo 23:9 KJV) Also thou shalt not oppress a stranger: for ye know the heart of a stranger, seeing ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.

(Lev 19:34 KJV) But the stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.

(Lev 25:35 KJV) And if thy brother be waxen poor, and fallen in decay with thee; then thou shalt relieve him: yea, though he be a stranger, or a sojourner; that he may live with thee.

(Deu 10:18 KJV) He doth execute the judgment of the fatherless and widow, and loveth the stranger, in giving him food and raiment.

(Deu 10:19 KJV) Love ye therefore the stranger: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.

Note:The Lord set conditions that the Israelite's must follow if they were to stay in Jerusalem

(2 Chr 6:22 KJV) If a man sin against his neighbour, and an oath be laid upon him to make him swear, and the oath come before thine altar in this house;

(2 Chr 7:17 KJV) And as for thee, if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, and do according to all that I have commanded thee, and shalt observe my statutes and my judgments;

(2 Chr 7:18 KJV) Then will I stablish the throne of thy kingdom, according as I have covenanted with David thy father, saying, There shall not fail thee a man to be ruler in Israel.

"Then will I" is not the same as murder and destroy to conquer what I give you (That is no gift)
