Just looking at the political side of this for a moment. I never really cared much for Huckabee or Cruz, but I definitely give them some props for actually getting down in the streets and into the nitty gritty on this.

It usually takes the media two days to get any story straight
You know what seems important to these lefty reporters is that she backed down in some way...that the great and fearful government brought her into line ... these folks think we should be afraid of our government and this lady standing up without fear bothers them more than anything.

I hope she hasn't backed down in anyway way way except letting her clerks do according to their conscience. ..that would definitely be anticlimactic :(

This legal mess and the judge's maneuvering reminds me of Pilate's dilemma.

You know, Pilate had Jesus scourged. After which Pilate presented Jesus to the Jewish hierarchy. With mocking words: "Behold your king."
But Pilate's attempt to appease the Jews had failed. "We have no king but Caesar."
Uh oh!
"What would you have me to do with Jesus?"
"Crucify Him, crucify Him."

And Jesus was. He was crucified.
Dead.
Buried.
But three days...three days later...

Truth always wins. Always. And those who live by the truth will someday reign.

Oh huck said he would rather go to jail than live under these 5 unelected judges and their oppressive and unconstitutional attempt to overthrow our constitution ... (in my words) My God grant us a president that will stand against these sexual deviants that have taken control of our republic.

I'm glad that this poor woman is finally out of prison. Ridiculous that it went so far. Imagine what our forefathers would think about this mess.

Our forefathers are the same one to put Africans in Chains so what they say is irrelevant to me. This woman broke the law and she went to jail. You can't have an elected official ignore a ruling of the Supreme Court just to do things her way. This is what you call a dictatorship. I'm glad a judge had sense enough to put her in jail for it.

When you unjustly land up in jail, don't waste your dime. You'll receive the same mercy you gave.

So was those laws that oppressed blacks really constitutional? Did the folks that stood against those unconstitutional laws deserve to go to jail? And the this lady aint afraid to go to jail in fact it would be the best thing that could happen for those of us who oppose the gay agenda ...that judge had to let her go because of all the people that could see how unlawful putting her there was..... so big deal if folks go to jail for what is right...they are hero's :)

I don't think much danger of him going to jail for standing for biblical truth?

Her incarceration was perfectly justified and this is coming from someone who has an extreme distrust for law enforcement. Has it ever occurred to you that Christians are not the only people who have rights?

Like most liberals who distrust law enforcement until it's a conservative going to jail...I know the game.

The latest update from Liberty Counsel

Rowan County Clerk Kim Davis is free from imprisonment. Judge Bunning lifted the Contempt of Court charges against Kim after the plaintiffs, same-sex couples, confirmed that they were able to obtain "marriage" licenses from Rowan County while Kim was incarcerated.

In ordering Kim's release, the judge set conditions:

"Defendant Davis shall be released from the custody of the U.S. Marshal forthwith. Defendant Davis shall not interfere in any way, directly or indirectly, with the efforts of her deputy clerks to issue marriage licenses to all legally eligible couples.

If Defendant Davis should interfere in any way with their issuance, that will be considered a violation of this Order and appropriate sanctions will be considered."

As I told Fox News, "Kim Davis will not change her conscience and she won't change her mind on this issue. She thought about this for a long time and prayed about it. Unless her name and her authority is taken off the licenses, she will not allow those licenses to issue in her name or her authority that authorizes a marriage which is contrary to God's definition of marriage."

+ + The legal issues are not resolved.

The Court Order did not resolve the underlying issue. The issue is that Kim Davis has asked for a very simple accommodation. Remove her name and her authority from the marriage certificates, which is what we have asked for from the very beginning. We believe the court could act on that. We believe the governor could act on that. And we believe the Kentucky assembly could act on that request as well. We will continue to assist Kim and pursue the multiple appeals she has filed.

+ + Today, Kim Davis joined us in a rally on her behalf!

This afternoon, Kim joined former Arkansas Governor, presidential candidate, and Liberty Counsel's friend Mike Huckabee and me in an "I'm with Kim" rally outside the Carter County Detention Center where Kim Davis was held. This rally coincided with Liberty Counsel's planned prayer event.

We are pleased that Kim Davis has been released. She can never recover the past six days of her life spent in an isolated jail cell, where she was incarcerated like a common criminal because of her conscience and religious convictions. She is now free to return to her family, her coworkers, and the office where she has faithfully served for the past 27 years.

Only I'm not liberal.. Go figure. Actually i.am more conservative. She broke the law and she went to jail. You see a conservative supports the law...

You don't get to go to the judge and say that you did not intend to follow the law just because you don't agree with it. That's not how it works in this country.

I hate to say it (but I will), these few who are opposing Kim Davis' decision are the same types who would narc you to the authorities in a heartbeat if the Christian faith became illegal (after all it's 'illegal', you must obey the law).
Well Crossnote... If the above comment would include me in your sweeping BROAD BRUSH judgment... I would like to inform you that you are SO W_R_O_N_G about that.... but that's okay...cuz now I know how you think regarding THAT issue.

I don't know, but they say if you throw a rock into a pack of dogs, the one that yelps is the one that got hit.
