The first heaven consists of the Earth’s atmosphere. The second heaven is
the vast reaches of space beyond the atmosphere.

There is also a third heaven: the home of God. The Apostle Paul saw this “third heaven,”
where God’s throne is, in a vision (ii Cor. 12:1-2). This vision was so intensely realistic
that Paul was unable to tell if he was physically there, or if he was seeing it in his mind.


Certainly many have ascended to the first and second heavens by aircraft,
spacecraft and other means, so this verse can only refer to the third heaven,
where the Almighty God resides.


Some have said that Elijah ascended to heaven, which he did—but not to the third
heaven. He was taken by chariots of fire up into the first heaven (ii Kings 2:11).
The Hebrew word used for heaven here is the same as in Genesis 2:1.

Elijah did not die during this experience. In fact, Elijah wrote a letter to King Jehoram
years after this event (ii Chron. 21:12). Elijah had been miraculously transported to
another location on Earth.

What do these verses have to do with life on other planets? Its talking of creation waiting for us, the children of God to grow up, spiritually, and the redemption of our bodies. Not other planets at all. BTW what version was that....I thought at first it was the NIV

not only [the creation] but we ourselves also.

God said there was no other life posible in the universe,
please show your evidence otherwise

Now you're dodging I asked you to prove there can be no life on other planets, now you're throwing it back....You first.

Creating groaning, as in birth pangs, waiting.....That does not prove no life on other planets...In fact it could be taken as 'there is'!

I believe people truly believe they are seeing UFO's. There are just too many reports for it to be NOTHING. I'm inclined to believe they are demonic, which would make sense for them to abduct, torture and mislead people. I can see how the mood of the culture now could easily dismiss the rapture as a cleansing of some sort perpetrated by aliens.

On the other hand, not dismissing my previous statement. I wonder how many sightings are of government made craft?

I would say that some are...Hitler used flying saucers at the end of WW2 They have reverse engineered ships since too...Flying vehicles have been around on the Earth for thousands of years, even before, I believe, man was on the Earth
