ACtully the ceasefire did allow the IDF to continue to hunt for and destroy tunnels leading accross the border.
We would also not be having this discussion had the Arabs accepted the numerous proposals which Israel agreed to for a Palestinian state, not forgetting the original partition for Israel and Palestinian state in the 1940s which the Arabs rejected.
Gaza would be a very nice place to live had all the aid and money sent there over the decades been spent on all the infastructure and building new homes for everyone instead of going into the pockets of the leaders and of course the huge amounts of weapons.
Israel sents tons of equipment, food and supplies into Gaza, provides electricity and gives healthcare to the poor and needy of Gaza. SO how are they repaid? with Missles and mortars. THere would be little or no border restrictions if there was peace, with free flow of goods and trade.
The claims about Israel restricting building resources are true, but now we know why, while Palestinisnas live in run down crumbling homes, the small amount of building supplies which were supposed to repair and rebuild homes instead went into building goodness knows how many miles of tunnels.
War is ugly, civillians always end up dead and injured, but Israel do not target civilians on purpose, Hamas does and uses its civillian population as human shields, they are encouraged to stand against the Israeli airstrikes and die as martyrs, so the world can see plenty of dead to get angry over.
