This is pleasing to see. Good for Vivek.
And Trump is more than pleased with Vivek, who was the only candidate with the courage and the knowledge to expose the lying media to their faces. But they are all shameless, and will continue to lie to the public (even though they are losing viewers and revenue).

some are better than others, but no politician is trustworthy.

I noticed the title of my thread and before clicking here I said to myself, "I don't trust any politicians, not even Trump or Swamy. "
Then I read your statement. 😆
That said, I'd rather these guys in office than what's going on now.

After Trump's quote in a previous speech was taken out of context and the newsmen saying that he was going to be a dictator, I could kinda expect Trump wince while Vivek was saying a few strong comments.

Does anyone think Trump will pick Vivek for his running mate?
He got 7% of the vote, that is important, but you pick a VP to win a certain key state or a specific demographic. Vivek doesn't help him with either. The key demographic is women and a key state would be one of the major swing states.

Vivek could be a secretary of commerce or some other important job.

You're reminding me how these political races work. I was surprised that he got such a small percentage, but he's a newcomer.

7% is not small. It can push Trump up to 60% of the GOP.

About half of Nikki Haley's 19% were democrats trying to game the system. Her number of "republicans" is probably much closer to 10%, representing "never Trumpers". When Vivek throws his support behind Trump it is reasonable to assume Trump gets the full 7%, if Nikki supported Trump he would probably get less than that since her supporters are pro Biden democrats and never Trumpers. On the other hand Desantis voters would probably vote for Trump.

In the meantime, we have human institutions of authority we would to be trying to implant as much good into as possible.

Threads are not exclusively editorial commentary. Sometimes they are simply a journal of the news.

I was wondering why anyone but a leftist rino would vote for her. So she's shilling for the Dems. The demos are up to their subtile tricks again. Serpent reference.

Why Desantis and Haley have not withdrawn from the race

What is the strategy here, do either of them actually see a path to the nomination? You can look at all the pollilng and the Iowa vote and the answer is no. So what are they looking at? There is only one possible reason why Haley or Desantis could argue that donors should continue to give them millions for their campaign and that is that Trump can be removed from the Ballot. This means that Haley, Desantis, and all their donors are supporting a tyrannical US where political rivals are removed by lawfare.

I do not care what they say, what they are doing is supporting fascism in this country.

At this point there are only two candidates that are running for President that are standing for Democracy, that is Kennedy and Trump. Biden, Haley and Desantis are fascists that want to be able to remove political rivals using lawfare supported by oligarchs who want the US to be an oligarchy.

Now I am giving these ones the benefit of the doubt because there is one other way that Trump might be removed and I am not going to ascribe that to them. However, if it happens you can be sure that I will.

May I ask why you care about this? I am not being snooty, I genuinely want to know.

If memory serves -- and it may not -- you said that America's Babylon the Great. If you think that, and also seem to believe that these are the last of the last days, why does this matter to you? The country's going to be under dark smokey clouds anyway.
