I just thought I would put this on the table,,that is in one way Thomas Duncan (Did receive) a different type of treatment than some of the others(BUT IT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH RACISM),,what took place is that he received experimental drugs, treatment for systems and all available options they had to offer. The most important difference was in his (blood type) that is Kent Brantley gave blood that has antibodies in it that his body developed when he had Ebola, this will stay in his body for up to 10 years. The others who had the same (blood type) then are candidates to receive blood transfusions of his blood containing these antibodies which then will aid in the recovery of Ebola,The others who have different blood types cannot receive this. So on one side he(Thomas Duncan) did receive a different type of treatment, but not by the choice of the doctors,,, https://www.google.com/search?q=ant...different+blood+type+as+thomas+duncan&spell=1

Re: WELL MORE RACIAL BS

Why are you projecting your ignorance on to me? Yes, Modern History was my favourite subject in High School and yes I was top of my High School for that.

Please let me know I how we Australians are to not learn about US involvement in:

World War 2? All in - Yanks down under
The Cold War
The Korean War
The Vietnam War
The Gulf War
The Iraq War
The Afghanistan War

The civil rights movement was studied for half a year in year 11, because it has wider implications beyond the USA.

Not to mention, the study of law, where case laws from the UK and the USA are considered in the HIGH Court of Australia.

Why wouldn't we study US history?

I'm perplexed as to why you find this to be strange.
The problem is the simple fact that most history books are tainted...for example...most will say that the civil war was fought over slavery and yes in deed it was THROWN in...but the real history teaches that the civil war was fought over TAXES on cotton and Tabaco as the SOUTH did not want to pay the Federal Government the taxes upon the goods (cotton and Tabaco) that were being shipped to Europe....English ships and French ships sat off the coast and the English were against slavery.... when the French were about to engage with the South as ALLIES the Slavery issue was thrown in so as to facilitate the English joining the side of the NORTH.....

Another misnomer is the belief that the U.S. is a Christian country and was founded upon Christian principles....

Yes he founding of the 13 colonies was based upon freedom from religious persecution by the state religions of Europe, but the founding of the Government was not...Yes it has FREEDOM of RELIGION which states that you can worship God as you please...is this principle biblical? John 4 tells otherwise...the men such as Thomas Paine, Ben Franklin and even George Washington all made anti-Christian comments and if you are a good student...get a copy of the book written by Thomas Paine called the AGE OF REASON and see what this man wrote concerning biblical Christianity....

Point being.....I am an American, I served my country in the United States Marine Corp and yet a careful study of ALL material will reveal a skewed view of history that lacks many facts and truths that have been left out, covered up and or swept under the rug.......

NOW FOR ALL........I love all men, races and creeds....I have no problem with humanity and view humanity through the scope of the bible as ALL are sinners and need Jesus....The day I wrote the OP I came across wrong and I apologize....Yes there are injustices that are leveled at black people, women, children, Chinese, Polish etc. that can be found in every gambit of life.....but at the end of the day not every event that happens can be lumped under the banner of racism and at the end of the day, that is what I am sick of as it seems to be an ongoing, ever increasing thing to be yelled when someone doesn't get their way!

Hey dcontroversal, no worries.

For what it's worth I am impressed that you are expressing the truth of the founding of the country not being strictly Christian as such. To me that is a mundane reality, and doesn't take away from anyone's faith.

For what it's worth my textbooks in High School were written by Australian Academics. There was no bias really, because they had no reason to down play or talk up the USA. It was all very factual. This happened, that happened, and it covered both sides at times of conflicts.

When we studied American history there was no mythology or nationalism involved. It was the same when we studied China.

Australia has a slavery past, that was not widely talked about. But then again it was minor and no large conflicts were fought about it. So no one seems to care. Sugar slaves black chapter in agricultural history - ABC Rural (Australian Broadcasting Corporation)

Don't forget the mistreatment of the natives of Australia that continues to this day. Some have compared it to the 1960s, with segregation. Though, not being there I can only say what I've read. However, every country has dark chapters. No worse than any other.

I disagree. All nations, societies, cultures have atrocities that are far from simple "My grey is lighter than your grey." In essence, all nations, societies, and cultures are black pots looking around at all the black kettles.

If you had lived as long as I and actually seen what I've seen in the places I have been you may change that statement but since you haven't your disagreement is duly noted. As for other nations of the ones I have visited and that is several each true has its own secrets and histories I speak to the USA and the secrets and agenda you know not of. As I myself know not of all the details but my stay here has afforded me more time to gather facts. Black pots in the supposed melting pot looking at all the other black pots no kettles.

We believers just gots to hunker down and weather this wicked and adulterous generation, and try to pull another one in out of the madness. But it won't be much longer, our transformation is nigh :)
