I'm very conservative. Especially on moral issues. Obama/Biden most certainly are not an option if one wants government to the glory of God.. Romney/Ryan isn't a ticket that is much better.

I wish the R/R ticket was switched around. Getting Romney off the ticket entirely would be better.
I appreciate your honesty and matter-of-factness, but I must beg one point: I don't think any either administration will glorify God. Both tickets are in it to glorify themselves and/or their contributors: big business. Both may claim otherwise, but don't be fooled.

From where I'm sitting, all four of them claim to be Christian, and may very well be, for all we know. The only one of the four with whom I've had any personal dealings is Barack, and I know that when he was in Chicago, he was active in his Church doing God's work. Now, whether he was doing it as a servant of the Lord or to serve some ulterior motive I don't know, and probably God alone knows. As with any other person, it's not up to me to judge their walk with Christ.

I can say that all 4 of them have shown deplorable behavior in their political lives, and all 4 of them have sinned and are in need of Christ's forgiveness and redemption.

But if you're looking for any of them to replace or enhance your worship of God, you're treading on dangerously thin ice. Or perhaps hot coals would be a better analogy.

You support the republican ticket because you support the republican party platform. That is reasonable and good. I personally disagree with you, but respect your views and your rights to them. Just be careful that you don't look to earthy governments for your salvation. And yes, I give the same warning to many of my liberal friends who seem to have the same view of Obama.

So allowing abortion, supporting gay marriage, and raising our debt by trillions of dollars is moving forward?
Allowing women the right to make decisions about their own health care, and not telling women that they're too stupid to make those decisions themselves, yes, that is moving forward.

Supporting the right for gay people to have the same civil rights as straight people, yes, that is moving forward.

As for the debt, Obama's financial plan does more to increase revenue than Romney's does. Romney's talking about increasing spending and decreasing revenue. This is simple mathematics. More expenses + less revenue = more debt. Obama's plan is to increase spending on specific programs that will grow the economy, thereby increasing revenue. Obama's plan has been proven to work, as any economist will tell you. It's already working -- slowly but surely. It's like turning the Titanic around ... we had a long way to go, and the fact that we've made as much progress as we have in 4 years is pretty amazing. Obama doesn't deserve the credit for that. He's just following the economic plan that happens to work. I suppose he deserves a few points for being smart enough to go with the plan that works, rather than Romney who's looking at a plan that doesn't work, and has been proven not to work.

So yes, denying women equal rights, denying gays equal rights, and stagnating or in fact hurting the economy are all moving backwards, and all are things supported by the republican ticket. I am aware that many people, even Christians, are in favor of this, which is why the polls are so close. Nautilus is not. There are other people on this board, and many devout Christians, who believe Obama's ticket is the more responsible one.

Then there are people like me who are disappointed in both parties and will be voting 3rd-party or fill-in, but that's neither here nor there. I would still rather have Obama win than Romney.

regardless of how he acted, most polls from cbs and such show that the public thinks biden won. Which is the actual point, not who can be the nicest
I find it interesting that when Romney did this to Obama, pundits blame Obama for being "weak" and "unsure." But when Biden did the exact same thing to Ryan, they blame Biden for being rude. Biden's behavior was no worse than Romney's the previous debate.

lil-christian ,,,welcome to the world of politics ,,,its messy its rude ,,,they lie always,,,, both partys lie ,,,,they never stick to what they say they will ,,,each party will blame the other for there own failing ,,, they want your vote ,,,,and that all they want ,,,, thats why so many many people no longer vote ,,,,there just sick of all the lies ,,, and its the same in England as well its not just the USA where the politicains lie its world wide ,,,here in England we have a 3 party race for votes not a 2 party race ,,,,the things they say on our TV's just to get your vote is unreal !!!!! {snip}
I remember when I was 17, and we had high school class elections. It was so crazy. I said, oh, so naive me, I said, "I can't wait until I turn 18, and I can vote in an election where it's based on real issues instead of popularity and looks."

That was more than a quarter-century ago. I'm still waiting for that magic election....
