I thought was Del shannon? or back in the 60s. we can still sing it today as a prayer.
Back then people were facing nuclear weapons, drugs, terrorism and general anarchy. After Rachel Carson exposed chemical bioweapons, not even the plants animals and the air people breathed was safe.

Its always helpful to have a song of praise in a crisis...it helped Peter and Paul get out of prison.
