Iraq is poisoned. Thirty-five million Iraqis wake up every morning to a living nightmare of childhood cancers, adult cancers and birth defects. Familial cancers, cluster cancers and multiple cancers in the same individual have become frequent in Iraq.

Sterility, repeated miscarriages, stillbirths and severe birth defects - some never described in any medical books - are all around, in increasing numbers. Trapped in this hellish nightmare, millions of Iraqis struggle to survive, and they call for help.

At long last, public pressure and media attention to this public health catastrophe prompted a joint study by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Iraqi Ministry of Health to determine the prevalence of birth defects in Iraq. This study began in May-June 2012 and was completed in early October 2012.

The WHO website says that this large-scale study was conducted in Baghdad (Karkh and Rasafa), Diyala, Anbar, Sulaymaniyah, Babel, Basrah, Mosul and Thi-Qar, with 10,800 households from 18 districts and a sample size of 600 households per district.

The Independent (UK) reported that this study was due to be released in November 2012. But the report has not yet come out.

One possible answer was suggested on May 26 by the Guardian. It reported the recent comments of Hans von Sponeck, the former assistant secretary general of the United Nations: "The US government sought to prevent WHO from surveying areas in southern Iraq where depleted uranium had been used and caused serious health and environmental dangers."

drett, they have to tie these things up until they have Syria in the bag (which is proving very difficult), and keep american citizens from really seeing what's happened.

if americans really knew what has been done in their names, there are still hundreds of millions of them who have not hardened their hearts...so many are just distracted, or are struggling to survive themselves at this point. not making excuses, but it's really only the american people who can turn the tide. it may already be too late (i believe it is). they absolutely must disconnect themselves from the propaganda devices in their living rooms and look hard.

look far away and near, look deeply into state the nation is actually in. it's really just the trueman show at this time.
when that facade comes down...well....

i have seen the DU damage. it's beyond words.
the Great I AM, revealed in Jesus Christ The Lord sees also.

US service men and women are coming home contaminated and actually contaminating their spouses and children and relatives.

but the rank and file are supposed to be dispensed with...it's a convryor belt/meat grinder, and a eugenics machine in and of itself. the suicide rate among us military is terrifying.

i don't know how much longer GOD will strive with us.
it's clear He is withdrawing some restraint on sin and depravity now, we can see it.

history has shown repeatedly that the state of a nations military is an indication of it's health and direction.
its no longer reasonable to say america holds the reins of her own military.

how is it any nation takes orders from or relies on a private corporation such as the UN to decide anything?

absurd, yet we are stuck with them. veto? WHAT'S A VETO IN A SUPPOSEDLY INTERNATIONAL (peace seeking - sure) BODY FOR?

Well the WHO (depending on which the WHO you are referring to) is either a rock band or it is a part of the UN.

The fact you do not know much about depleted uranium shows how controlled the media is. It has caused death and cancer in the tens of thousands and should be shouted from the roof tops.

Depleted Uranium is a little dirty bomb that fits in your pocket. Uranium-238 is pyrophoric, meaning it burns on contact with air, DU rounds are burning as they fly. When the DU penetrator hits an object it breaks up and causes secondary explosions. It is actually worse than a dirty bomb because it breaks up into extremely small particles and dispersed into the atmosphere where it comes back down in rain. Covers a lot larger area than you convention dirt bomb. It is ironical that the coalition, invaded Iraq on non exist WMD using WMDs.

The dangers were known about DU back in 1943. A declassified memo written by James B. Conant and two other physicists working on the U.S. nuclear project during the Second World War, and sent to Brig. Gen. L.R. Groves on October 30, 1943, provides the evidence:

"As a gas warfare instrument the [radioactive] material would be ground into particles of microscopic size to form dust and smoke and distributed by a ground-fired projectile, land vehicles, or aerial bombs," the 1943 memo reads.

Today, more than one out of every three veterans from the first Gulf War are permanently disabled.

Despite all this, George Bush gave the go ahead to use DU in Iraq.

The link below details the suffer of a US soldier whose tank was hit by friendly fire in the first Gulf War.

Depleted Uranium - The Real Dirty Bombs

Dr. Doug Rokke former director of the U.S. Army's Depleted Uranium Project

"They have to be held accountable," Rokke said, naming President George W. Bush, Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, and British prime minister Tony Blair. They chose to use DU weapons and "totally disregarded the consequences."

The World Health Organization, like most world entities, gets most of it's funding from the United States. And they're nervous about exposing the US's dirty laundry. Not that we've ever cut anyone off just because they despise or expose us...

A government that allows the use of a dirty little bombs after knowing the effects it has on the soldiers of the 1st Gulf war would be capable of anything.

I'm not sure about every munitions that utilizes depleted uranium but I am 100% positive our M-1 Abrams tanks are outfitted with depleted uranium shells. It's nasty stuff

Part 2 Learning to fight cellular abnormalities caused by Agent Orange and Gulf War Syndrome

by Ed Mattson

In Part 1 of this series I promised to provide information that will be beneficial to those exposed to Dioxin from Agent Orange and those returning from the Gulf War with what has become known as Gulf War Syndrome. With dioxin exposure it has taken decades for the Veterans Administration to acknowledge that those who came into contact with this most deadly of toxins are today suffering from a long list of illnesses and second generational birth defects in their offspring. The decades-long battle of continued denials and stonewalling as to Dioxin related disease has taken years of appeals and court battles to tear apart.

Dr. Asaf Duraković, physician and expert in nuclear medicine, a former U.S. army Colonel, was Chief of the Nuclear Sciences Division of the Armed Forces Radiobiology Research Institute at the VA hospital in Wilmington, DE. His work in linking depleted uranium used in weapons in the Gulf War was fired and blacklisted by the VA for refusing to discontinue his work on medical problems now facing Veterans returning home.

To continue his work, he founded and is Medical Research Director of the Toronto-based Uranium Medical Research Centre. For the veterans facing severe medical problems as the result of their exposure to depleted uranium, the Vietnam veterans have helped pave the way through the bureaucratic malaise so Iran-Afghan veterans may have an easier time being compensated for their illnesses once Dr. Durakovic completes his findings.
