On behalf of all decent people everywhere, I apologize for the actions of our prime minister. May everything that stands against freedom and decency be wiped absolutely from the face of God's green and blue (and purple too!) earth. Amen. Come Lord Jesus.

I have visited a few times :) I lived for a short while in a hand made log cabin in the foothills outside Denver :D I also helped build a log cabin there. I did not do much, though :) Been to California a couple of times, also, and Reno, never Vegas... drove down the west coast each time, and Miami on my way to Cayman Island (flew there) :) Same for Chicago, on my way to Denver. New York for a short stay, way long ago, too. Also visited the amazing Oregon coast.

But since 2001 I have not even tried to cross the border. I do have a pardon for my criminal record of being in possession of marijuana from 1976 when I went to court and received a suspended sentence and a one hundred dollar fine, but that would be enough to get me barred for life if I tried to hide that fact at the border, if I was already on record as having a record, or prevented from crossing if I came clean about it. Sigh. Best just to stay in my little corner of the world here, I suppose. I could get a waiver, but it is a long complicated and also expensive process. The government used to fund parts of the process of getting a pardon and maybe even the waiver also, but that has changed, apparently. I got my pardon in 2009. I just came across some of the paperwork for it while I have been cleaning up here a bit. Ugh. I hate the red tape of life :p We need a crying emoticon :D

Wow, you need a pardon for possession in 1976?!! There should be some statute of limitations or something for that. I'll never forget that day I went to court to show I had car insurance and there were 5 or 6 people before me who were there for possessing pot. The judge asked how they plead and they said guilty and then the judge just gave them a fine and dismissed them. That was in the 80's...

Yes, my record is now clean and would not show up in any search, though I am a bit unclear as to whether the fact that I have a pardon would show up... as a recovering addict I have in the past talked to many people in similar circumstances. To the best of my current knowledge, (it's coming back to me now as I talk to you about it), my record would show that I have received a pardon; the only thing that is hidden is what the pardon covers.

SO of course if I was at the border trying to cross and they saw that, they would want to know what the pardon is for. That is why I say, if I wanted to fib about it (because let's face it, possession of marijuana is considered a worse crime down there than murder! :p) and they already knew what had been on my record... for instance if I had crossed in the past and that had been disclosed pre 9-1-1, when things were more normal, that might still be on the US records for me. I have heard both sides, where people say they have no problems crossing with a similar record and others saying it can be a huge hassle and they get refused and turned away, and lying will get you banned for life.

So it would really be impossible to make plans to go anywhere via the States, because depending on the customs agent, I could be turned back at the border UNLESS I also got a waiver. Essentially the pardon is only good as far as operating in Canada goes. However, getting a waiver, like I said, can be a long drawn out and expensive endeavor. I paid about three hundred and now it is more than double that and you need both.

When I got my pardon eight years ago, they really helped to expedite the process for me. I did not have to do much at that time, because the office handled the details such as doing a criminal records' search to make sure I have not been in trouble since then, that sort of thing. I had to sign papers of course, swearing to the truth to the best of my knowledge etc.

I was charged at that time because they were after my boyfriend and he would not deliver bigger fish for the cops to fry. I took the fall for that. I did not even know he was dealing :p To add to that, the pot they found was tucked away in a closet, about a quarter of a 35mm film canister that we did not even know was there. I helped the police conduct their search. None of that matters in the eyes of the law, though. Four cops showed up to search my place :p

In fact, the fact that everyone I knew was being busted was one of the reasons why I left Ontario forty years ago. Now the cops just monitor public events while people are smoking weed all around them. Medical marijuana is easy to get. You do not even need a prescription under some circumstances. Dispensaries are everywhere despite the fact that it is not even completely legal. I think the courts got tired of trying misdemeanor offenses and ruining people's lives over personal amounts. The number of injuries and/or deaths by alcohol is staggering compared to the number of injuries and/or deaths by pot. The latter is often cited as being zero.

I did not mean to say everyone but almost everyone I knew was being busted.

Certainly many of the people I knew or was acquainted with, or friends of friends.

It just seemed like such an oppressive atmosphere.

Given that he is a terrorist..........I'd say that ship has sailed!

:)

On the good side, the payment was $10.5 million Canadian. I was thrilled to hear that in real, American dollars, he lost $2.5 million. Of course, the big worry is that it will go to fund terrorism. I would not be surprised to hear it had.

We apologize on behalf of the 71% of the country who are outraged at both the apology and the payout. Plus a bunch more disgusted with one or the other.

Trudeau is a Muslim. He paid off a terrorist, blamed his father's (Pierre Elliot) stupid Charter of Rights. The document that is going to take us to perdition in Canada.

The leader of the opposition is bringing this up daily in the media. It's bad enough he made this payment. But he made it in such a way that the family of the murdered soldier, who has a huge judgment against Khadr cannot get any of the money. It was give to him the day after Parliament prorogued for the summer, so no one could question the useless, brain dead prime minister. It was done totally in secret, although it got leaked. Trudeau fled the country on one of his "selfie" jaunts to make himself look good in the eyes of world leaders. Only, Ireland called him on it. Good work!

Regarding Khadr, people forget this is not just about killing one American soldier and maiming another. He was employed by the family Al-Queda terrorist business in Afghanistan making IEDs. There are videos on-line of him proudly doing this. So how many other Canadian and American soldiers did he kill with IEDs? And, the whole point is that he was tortured in Guantanamo. Do you know how he was tortured? Sleep deprived. Moved every three hours. Wow! I have chronic pain and I don't remember the last time I was able to sleep for more than 2 hours straight. BIG DEAL! That's not torture, that's life for a lot of sick people! There is a reason why two successive Liberal governments and then one conservative didn't stop this, or bring him "home." This is a parasite, and given the money by the biggest political parasite in existence. Obama did not hold a candle to our flunky drama teacher/snow board instructor.

Big protests planned, one in Ottawa on July 30 on Parliament Hill. Michelle Rempel, a Calgary Conservative MP was on FOX news I saw, apologizing to Americans for this travesty of justice.

We desperately need to get rid of Trudeau. He is bringing in immigrants at an alarming rate, 99% Muslims from Syria. I kid you not! He would not bring in persecuted Christians or Yazidis, who are being wiped out by Muslims from both sects. He has placed these "refugees" strategically in ridings where the vote was close. They will vote for him. They name their babies "Justin Trudeau Goat Eaters" or whatever, so voting for him is easy.

This is a massive issue in the conservative media. The only support is the ultra left, of course. It's in the charter. Sorry, I don't like the Charter, I said in 1982 we would come to regret it.

Rant over! Don't vote for Trudeau in 2019. As for the other bad, bad thoughts I have about that evil man, I'll keep them to myself.

The bolded above......the West will realize too late that this scourge (ISLAM) is going to sweep the planet....what needs to be done will not be done because of bleeding hearts, cowards and left wing fools.......serious!

If Trump and the Congress let this pass without any sort of Official Response/Action, then they are as useless as those in the Canadian Government who came up with this idea.
You can leave Congress out of the equation since they are all also Left-Liberals parading as Republicans. As to Donald Trump and his cabinet, his own cabinet is betraying him, so finally he is going after Jeff Sessions. Sessions failed to go after Obama and Hillary for treason, and there is not a single Canadian with the guts to go after Trudeau for treason also. Just as Obama gave billions to Iran and betrayed America, Trudeau had given millions to Khadr (and who knows who else) to betray Canada.

Ultimately a large segment of Canadians have to be held responsible for electing the Liberals. But although I voted for Harper, he too betrayed Canada by failing to set things right in many areas, when he had a golden opportunity to do so. That gave the Liberals the opportunity to butt in and get re-elected. And of course we can thank the Left-Liberal Canadian media for bashing Harper daily while giving Trudeau a free pass on every transgression. They also bashed Trump at every opportunity.

we humans are funny 'creatures', do we really expect our 'fellow-man' to step-in for Jesus!?!?!?...

Something is wrong at our core: (our roots have grown corrupt and we don't want The God up above -
to 'instruct'...
Therefore, we will 'self-destruct' and start to 'kill each other':
So, as the 'land of Israel and Judah, a 'foreign banner' will fly over our land'...

Trump is doing a pretty good job of betraying his Cabinet all by his lonesome. Sessions was one of the very few people who was with him in the beginning, and stood steadfast with him when almost all others abandoned him during the entire election process. As for "going after Hillary," it was Trump (when elected) who STATED he would not ask the AG to pursue an investigation into Bill and Hillary and their antics. He only changed his tune when all this RUSSIA junk began to take it's toll. Now he wants to demonize Sessions? He DEMANDS loyalty from those around him......is he DISPLAYING LOYALTY towards the guy who stood with him through it all?

Sessions had to recuse himself from the Russia mess because it was very likely that he could end up being one of the "targets" of such an investigation. He did the "RIGHT THING." And Trump wants to bash him for that?

If Trump dumps Sessions over this, he will lose a lot of support from the Conservatives in Congress in my opinion.

As for Congress and that Trudeau thing, there are actions they can take to put pressure on the Canadian Government and peoples to remove Trudeau. Now, I agree they won't............as I have said for many years......they (Congress) are ALL a bunch of cowards, and will not risk their own Political life to do WHAT IS RIGHT.

There actually is no way to remove a prime minister in Canada, other than losing an election, or a vote of non confidence in Parliament. Because he has a clear mandate, that won't happen! In the US, senators and congressmen can vote their conscience. In Canada, MPs must vote for the party or be kicked out of caucus. If the MP becomes an independent, they won't be re-elected, and crossing the floor is the same political death, as this happened recently with Danielle Smith in Alberta.

Even if Trudeau committed a crime and was convicted, there is no impeachment process in our constitution. Interestingly enough, Trudeau senior left that out, when he got the Charter of Rights repatriated. I suppose his own party could try and depose him, but likely, it will just have to wait till the next election in 2018, which can't come soon enough for me!

Doesn't your Parliament have the ability to ask for a no confidence vote?
