I mean state regions seceding into sub-states if they so choose. Really, this is mostly my scheme to #MakeNewYorkStateGreatAgain if I'm entirely honest.

Now if I had it my perfect way, I would split the nation into 50 states of equal population. Which would, it seems, isolate the larger cities and result in one GOP presidency after another. Heh Heh Heh

I like our current state borders still though. From a traditional standpoint.

Are you saying split the states, or just split the Electoral "states". That would be interesting but then what would you do with the EC vote value for each sub state? Like in Tx, if we split Austin and Dallas they could be of less value because they're less than the rest of the state (not to mention, they're always blue)....now i'm being unfair.

Here's the thing about THIS POPULAR VOTE.

Currently Hillary has a 400,000 VOTE lead. Now that may sound like a lot, but that is out of over 121,000,000 votes cast, equating to about .03%.

If we were going by POPULAR vote, that tiny lead would trigger a recount. The democrats would NEVER want a recount like that because then the actual votes would have to be examined, and their massive vote fraud would be exposed. Things like millions of illegal aliens voting, dead people voting, absentee fraud, double, triple, and more voting.
I hope one of the things Trump does address is voter I.D. There is NO reason NOT to adopt voter I.D. except if you want to cheat.

One avenue that should be explored is state electoral apportioned vote, like Nebraska and Maine does. The 2nd most votes that Trump got in a state was CALIFORNIA!! Yet ALL 55 electoral votes went to Clinton. True, she also got a lot of votes in places like Texas and Florida, but it might reflect the electorate a little more.
I have long felt this way, and I think this is the most reasonable method to date. The Democrats should be able to see this because they actually might have won if such a practice was in place.

Amen and AMEN! What is with this fear of Voter ID? Even the Elitist Entitled Crowd have to have a valid ID to cash their Welfare Checks, don't they?

This could be a good idea -- but then it opens the door for big issues and squabbles over how the congressional districts are organized. The party in control will try to manipulate the boundaries of districts to their own advantage - that is - if the Democrats are in control they would try to put all Republican voters into one district.

When our country was founded voting was restricted. Only property owners could vote. Imagine if only those who file tax returns could vote? What would the tax structure look like?

We were founded as a constitutional republic not a democracy. In a democracy it is mob rule. Democracy always degrades into socialism and from there into communism. Eventually the government controls the people and the people suffer because of it.

They say that If Trump repeals the heath care set-up by President Obama,Trump would need to replace It with something and not just repeal It.

I wonder how he will deal with undocumented immigrants, the Wall,Muslims,Foreign affairs and other things,I hope he has Intellectual and Intelligent people around him and I hope he puts America's best Interest FIRST and not let pride get the best of him.

Common sense says he will look at what parts of it can work, and which can't. And, of course he is not just going to pull the rug out from under everyone who is already vested in it, and could stand to lose thousands. (He is not a politician.)

Just like the stupidity of people who get all worked-up that Trump won't get Mexico to write a check for the wall. This is a brilliant man who knows just about everything there is to negotiating deals and agreement..... besides he has already said several times that Mexico will pay for the wall in money the USA will earn back in renegotiated trade agreements.

He know the "how's" of contracts better than almost anyone, and he will stagger many people with the innovative ways he understands how to satisfy both sides.

I guess the end results justify the means.
