B
I felt God at my window today
Breezing towards me but separated by the narrow walls of my home.
Your spirit was flowing through the bush outside my window
And I wanted to meet you through my fingertips
As I reached out to touch you my pulse was stronger and my hand stiffened when my fingers became outstretched.
I thought I was crazy.
When I pulled my hand away the feeling in my hand wasn't there anymore.
I put my hand back to that spot on the windowsill and my hand became stiff again and the leaves fluttered with approval and the cicadas hummed their song.
