Along the stretches of the street,
One light goes out,
Then another.
It is early morning,
And the vacant air,
Void of any life,
Begins to form the beginning
To a brand new day.
Early morning life,
Seems to hesitate as it moves forward,
The sun is nearing the mountain tops,
Ready to burst forth
It's just after 5 a.m.
Memories come to life,
Days gone by seem to keep
The mind busy as nothing
Else has yet interrupted its quietness.
And I walk and dream,
As each step brings me nearer,
To the place where I live
A third of my life.
And my humble beginning to the day,
Is rife with hopes and dreams
And life of loving You.
One light goes out,
Then another.
It is early morning,
And the vacant air,
Void of any life,
Begins to form the beginning
To a brand new day.
Early morning life,
Seems to hesitate as it moves forward,
The sun is nearing the mountain tops,
Ready to burst forth
It's just after 5 a.m.
Memories come to life,
Days gone by seem to keep
The mind busy as nothing
Else has yet interrupted its quietness.
And I walk and dream,
As each step brings me nearer,
To the place where I live
A third of my life.
And my humble beginning to the day,
Is rife with hopes and dreams
And life of loving You.
