The leaves are now falling. There's a chill in the air.
The snow on the sidewalk makes men quite aware
That the season draws nigh now for all those now livin'
When a child was born and a Son was given.

Lights blinking on houses and the signs in the store,
The cards in the mailbox foretell of much more.
When the grace of our God made its human descent
Granting eternal life to all who repent.


So as all the presents pile up under the tree,
And all who are blessed return to family,
As you toast with the eggnog and settle in for the Eve,
Can I ask you a question: do you truly believe?

In heaven they sing of the wonderful Lamb
Who left all His glory to live as a man.
They sing of a Savior who for souls is driven:
Of a child who was born and a Son who was given.

Too lazy to write it again. But as we look forward to the holiday season, time away from work and with loved ones, and as we enjoy the sights and sounds and smells of Christmas, let us not forget to enjoy also so great salvation in the Lord.
