Dear father I'm waiting
I'm listening for your voice
What will you have me do
Your will is my choice
So many places
So many turns
Your call is my duty
My soul for You yearns
I'm standing at attention
On your steps made of stone
Please simply just mention
I'll wait at your throne
your servant is present
I will wash your feet
if that's the only duty
This servant can meet
I know I'm not worthy
But your Son wiped my shame
So I'm standing before you
in His Holy Name
He's made me a believer
In Him there's no doubt
Your will and your plan
this vessel clear out
at your feet i lay before you
The words I've messed up
I'm sorry this gift
I Really did corrupt
Please make them new
I'd like a second chance
For You to use
For Your will and Your plan
these thoughts in my mind
Please take them too
The guards at the gates
Nothing enters but you
Yes white wash the walls
Clear out the chip
My brain be your drawer
Your words please place in it

Pull back the curtains
My eyes for your view

These feet they are yours

in this vessel it's your day Lord

May these hands be your gloves

Use these fingers to hold your pencils
Please write down your words
my life in Your hands
No longer my own
to bargain or trade
This vessel you own ..
I allowed you to move in
Yes into my soul
But there's other rooms
To you I've not shown
I know they are a mess
I know they are condemned
I've unlocked their doors
so you're fully in .
I'm sorry for their destruction
these years without you
I'll help clean them up
Please tell me what to do
I've felt so alone
no one else is around
so please come in
to these rooms and sit down
you already know their stories
I'm ashamed for you to see
How messy these rooms are
all because of me ..
you deserve a great palace
A temple of pure gold
I never thought for once
You'd want one with mold
I don't know where to start
Or even what to do
So my dependency will be on
Completely on you

Im sorry for the mess
I'm ready to drop it all
It's unneeded stress
theres a stirrup in both ears
So please Jump right up
To the room in my mind
So it can wake up
To things that are true

Great poem with alot of truth. That one poem was like a book of poems. What a great job you do. I would like to write a poem sometimes do you have any helpful advice. I have tried several times but nothing felt right. Thanks James

thanks for asking James , I only started writing last month .. digging deeper into my relationship with God has me spending a lot of time talking with Him.. Asking the holy Spirit to bring as God leads .. And well, the results of that are in .. small deposites come and the words just seem to flow .. they aren't always there .. But when He inspires me I try to write it down immediately as He brings it ... Sometimes it has a lot to do with my conversation with Him and the way He answers .. I encourage you to to ask for His
Lead and simply yield as the Holy Spirit inspires you.. .. You will find a rhythm with Him that's all your own and it really becomes personal and intimate between He and you.. .. I've read several things you've written in your posts
Actually James .. I've gone back and read things you've written actually.. Looks like you started in 2011 on cc .. a lot of those writings you could transform
