I got problems in my life; I pray God to take the knife; Lord-cleave aw-ay the-sin and-lead the-way aga-in.
Living all my days like I don't have sense; Spent all my cents; Left the face of God and haven't gone back since.
Since-right-now is the on-ly time-to-live; Release all-I-have to-give. God's at the top looking down, whereas, I'm at the bottom underground in a hole buried deep. Dead in my sin and trespasses.
You learn something new every day, being transformed like the night into day.
It's really easy if you find the Word to say; I think God deserves His pay.
He is worthy of all praise.

What's up with these atheists these days? Sometimes I just wanna run up in their place and throw some grace in their face. Yet, I need to keep my pace and win this race with patience.

Nice prayer poem.

God is indeed at the top looking down at everyone and everything which happens. One will really need a lot of patience when dealing with atheists, having the wrong attitude will many times make things a lot worse. I am not pointing at you for having bad attitude, I am referring more as in general. I think Ray Comfort deals very nicely with atheists, he is very patient as well as remains responding in a kind but also direct way to any questions he is asked.

Proverbs 15:1 - "A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger."

Amen, and I understand completely, and also had the same thing in mind while typing. That verse is one of my most memorable, but I want to increase that memory, especially by what is said in Proverbs 4:4-9 (especially verse 4).

I'm sorry, I keep resorting to the same words, I'm a bit tired.

That will happen when you spend more time reading in the bible as well as growing in your relationship with God. Some bibleverses will stick stronger to us than other ones again, as well as some bibleverses will speak stronger to us at different phases which we go through in life. All in all; When we keep on walking with God it will be easier getting more bibleverses added to our memory, as we will be living in it daily. We shouldn't have to rush into this, though... ;) But I am sure you are working on this as well, the wanting to grow and get closer to Him. :)

Your words are pleasant, God will draw us nigh, by faith and seeking His Kingdom. It's interesting that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. He is mighty, wondrous, mysterious even.
I haven't even read the entire Old Testament yet, it's sad for how long I've had to do it, but it's also exciting because it's new and unchartered.

True!

There are so many connections made throughout the whole bible. My older sister told me once that in the new testament you see God as a loving God through Jesus Christ whilst in the old testament you saw Him as an angry and violent God, but when having read some books in the old testament I have found this to being an untrue statement. God is seen as a compassionate, loving and merciful God in the old testament too, just that people likes to take bibleverses out of the context and twist it into the way they want to see it, or through their own understanding.

I'd also recommend for you reading the shorter books of the old testament, such as; Obadiah, Micah, Nahum, Habakkuk e.t.c...(there are more, just pointing out a few of them) the shorter books of the bible are also worth reading, and contains much prophetical parts which can also be seen during what happens in our daily world nowadays too. Not saying we should see everything as prophecies belonging to this era only, but you may recognice some events which are happening nowadays too.

As a matter of fact; Nothing is really that new either! Timewise!

"That which has been is what will be,
That which is done is what will be done,
And there is nothing new under the sun."
(Ecclesiastes 1:9)

Or else; reading in the old testament is to be encouraged as well. :) I also enjoy reading in Genesis. All of the bible is filled up with much goods, so I often find it difficult finding just a few favourites or so. ;) And then it will depend on what you are going through with in life, some books will encourage/strenghten you more at certain periods or testings you face in life.
