A twist to the challenge of flyting.
That verbal ole medieval fighting,

instead of insultin’ with anger resultin’
let’s work once together this time

Let’s write us some lyrics together
that’ll glorify Jesus forever

instead of lamenting and worry inventing
Lets marry some rythym to rhyme

and so if you heard what I’m saying’
My heart is tonight left dismayin’

Instead of me cryin’ in sorrow and sighin’
will you send me some thinking to mine ?

Go on ahead of me, and make sure the way!
I've managed to lose forever in only a day.

Help me to follow even throughout the valley.
And secure my hands to the oar of the galley.

My journey is viewed with my back to the bow.
And I cannot see but where I am now.

Trusting my life to the Captain of Hosts
I can only row on to land His promises boast.

The cadence of the coxswain is my focus 'til done.
And then I can rest once I see the race won.
